If you want to live in an apartment or even a condo, the urban life can be good. If you prefer to have a nice yard, space to have 2 cars, and other things that are very expensive luxuries in the city, the suburbs are very attractive. Not to mention cleaner air and less hassles.

Just in case you didn't know (since you never served), people in the military only carry fully automatic weapons at specific times and in specific places. If you are on a base, chances are you are not allowed to carry any weapon.
