Zone1 Jesus was a Cult?

And there it is. Whether we blame Jesus (no matter if he existed or not) or Christianity the fact is there to behold: Christianity is a CULT.
Poor little children.......that are not supposed to die. (some 13,000 die every day of the year).... Reality: Your CULT has killed 65,464,760 innocent children through the act of premeditated ABORTION on demand since 1973, when the cult known as human secular (aka :dev3:) decided to make a law that provided protection of pre birth animals (endangered species act) but decided human life could be sacrificed at their altar LEGALLY. -- Roe v. Wade. Morality is not legislated........its lived. Undisputed FACT.

The title of this thread, "Jesus was a Cult?" is mine because the information in the video about absurd quotes from Jesus supports my conviction that Christianity is a CULT. So, are you challenging me or the video?
So.....according your lack of logic.......known as a logical fallacy. The actual content of the Holy Scriptures is not a valid source of documenting Christian Faith. Your social fascism document stands as a valid source of defining the Christian Faith? :no_text11:

I have proved that Christianity is a CULT. I gave Christians an opportunity to inject some info that might refute the CULT status of Christianity but all they have (so far) is Bible quotes and personal insults.

You did not disprove one sentence found in the actual content of God's recorded Word. Your Marxist document is not the source of Christian Faith. "Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God." -- Romans 10:17 Jesus was not in the least a socialist......He was the ultimate conservative......living by every Word of Jewish Law from birth to death.

Christianity is not a cult and has evolved from a primitive religion to a modern religion with productive moral values based on the Jewish decalogue. OK so it took them a few thousand years to figure it out. They believe in two parent families education hard work generosity fairness charity helpin the unfortunate how is this a cult

A cult is a social group defined by unconventional, extreme religious, spiritual, or philosophical beliefs, often revolving around a specific leader, object, or goal. These groups frequently utilize high-pressure tactics, manipulation, and isolation to control members. Originally derived from the Latin cultus (adoration/care), the term now often describes authoritarian groups or intense, niche followings.
Jim Jones the Hari Krishnas remember them at airports , the Landmark Forum(formerly EST) are examples of cults

Exactly what Christianity embodies.

Its very different but there have been small cults that used Christianity. As a whole its legitimate religion. You can build a cult with anything. I could argue Amway is cult like.

Christians are free to abandon their faith without interference.

You are Islamic which is the ACTUAL cult, as it punishes apostates up to an including death, was begun by one man for his own glorification and is a manifesto for global domination.

You are proving nothing other than the fact that you are indulging in Taqiyya here as an instrument of your jihad.

You have proven nothing; but a circular argument. You have accused without any factual information that came from the source of Christian Doctrine, The Holy Word of God. And then continued to make personal attacks like the KAREN you are (emotional tw@t)........OH WELL, just where is this phrase found in the Holy Scriptures?

I'd wager you have no problem spending Federal Currency that states, IN GOD WE TRUST. Nor can you present any state constitution that does not mention God......or present an original copy of the US CONSTITUTION that does not read. "IN THE YEAR OF OUR LORD".......nor can you deny the US Federal Government endorses and maintains a CHAPLIN Corp with tax dollar funding. What? Is the United States of America........also a cult?

Hypocrisy: insincerity by virtue of pretending to have qualities or beliefs that you really do not possess. My grandpappy declared, Some people talk to simply hear their head rattle.

If it survives the death of the leader, it becomes a religion.
How about surviving the resurrection of their leader?

Christianity is the only major world religion in which the religion survived and thrived based on the claim that its founder (Jesus Christ) was resurrected from the dead and is still alive.

  • Christianity: Christianity is unique in that it claims its founder overcame death and that the tomb is empty.
  • Other Founders: Founders of other major religions, such as Muhammad (Islam), Gautama Buddha (Buddhism), Confucius (Confucianism), Joseph Smith (Mormonism), and Mary Baker Eddy (Christian Science), remained in their graves.
  • Ancient Myths vs. Historical Religion: While ancient mythology includes "dying-and-rising" gods (such as Osiris, Attis, or Dionysus), these are categorized as mythological or pre-Christian pagan stories rather than historically established religious organizations that survived the death of a real-time founder.
  • Failed Groups: Several cults or smaller movements, such as the People’s Temple or the Movement for the Restoration of the Ten Commandments, collapsed or remained insignificant after their founders died, failing to survive.
In summary, only one religion—Christianity—is widely cited in the results as having survived and grown based on a historical claim of the resurrection of its founder.

You forgot to mention the Catholics who definitely were not Christian and did great evil to many innocent people throughout the last two millennia.

Catholic Church's Role in Persecution: Historical Overview

The Catholic Church has been involved in various acts of persecution over the past two millennia, primarily during periods of religious conflict, political power struggles, and doctrinal disputes. These actions were often justified as efforts to preserve orthodoxy, maintain social order, or defend Christian unity.

  • Early and Medieval Persecutions:

    • The Church faced persecution itself in the Roman Empire, but after Constantine’s Edict of Milan (313 AD), it became a dominant religious and political force. From that point, the Church began to exert authority over religious dissent.
    • The Inquisition, established in the 12th century and notably institutionalized in Spain in 1478, targeted heretics, Jews, Muslims, and converts suspected of secretly practicing their former faiths. The Spanish Inquisition is one of the most infamous examples, involving torture, imprisonment, and executions.
    • The Albigensian Crusade (1209–1229) was a military campaign sanctioned by the Church against the Cathars in southern France, resulting in mass killings and the destruction of entire communities.
    • The Northern Crusades (12th–14th centuries) were campaigns against pagan tribes in Northern Europe, often involving forced conversions and violence.
  • Reformation and Counter-Reformation (16th–17th centuries):

    • The Church responded to Protestant Reformation with aggressive measures. The St. Bartholomew’s Day Massacre (1572), though led by French Catholic factions, was supported by Catholic authorities and resulted in the deaths of thousands of Huguenots (French Protestants).
    • In England, Catholics were persecuted under Queen Elizabeth I, with laws imposing fines, imprisonment, and execution for loyalty to the Pope.
    • The Roman Inquisition intensified during this period, targeting Protestants, heretics, and those accused of blasphemy or witchcraft.
  • Colonial and Modern Era:

    • The Church played a role in the colonial conquest of the Americas, often supporting or condoning the forced conversion of Indigenous peoples. The Goa Inquisition (1560–1812) in India targeted converts and others accused of heresy.
    • The Papal Bulls such as Dum Diversas (1452) and Romanus Pontifex (1455) were used to justify European colonization and the enslavement of non-Christians, including Africans and Indigenous peoples.
    • The Church has also been criticized for its role in anti-Semitic policies throughout history, including the forced wearing of identifying badges, expulsions from countries, and support for discriminatory laws.
  • Contemporary Criticism:

    • The Church has been accused of complicity with authoritarian regimes, including collaboration with fascist Italy and Nazi Germany.
    • The 20th-century persecution of Christians under communist regimes (e.g., Soviet Union, China) was not directly caused by the Church, but the Church’s opposition to atheistic ideologies sometimes led to state repression of clergy and faithful.
    • In modern times, the Church has faced widespread criticism for its handling of sexual abuse scandals, including the systemic cover-up of clergy abuse and the transfer of accused priests to new assignments, which has been described as a form of institutional persecution of victims.
While the Church has also been a major force for good—providing education, healthcare, and humanitarian aid—its historical role in persecution remains a significant and controversial aspect of its legacy. The Church has formally apologized for many of these actions, especially under Pope John Paul II, but the impact of past policies continues to be debated.

I have proved that Christianity is a CULT. I gave Christians an opportunity to inject some info that might refute the CULT status of Christianity but all they have (so far) is Bible quotes and personal insults.
You have proven nothing; but a circular argument.
The circular argument is quoting the bible as reference to anything at all.
You have accused without any factual information that came from the source of Christian Doctrine, The Holy Word of God.
You can't even decide if the authors of the bible are referring to Jesus or to god, so the hokus-pokus method is to say they are one and the same while still maintaining (falsely) that you believe in one god.
Pointing to what is printed upon currency is your motivating support of god? Ho-ho.
Hypocrisy: insincerity by virtue of pretending to have qualities or beliefs that you really do not possess.
I have presented reports by historical facts. You are offering a circular argument by quoting the superstitious bible. My case is solid, yours is fantasy.
My grandpappy declared, Some people talk to simply hear their head rattle.
He witnessed the birth of the Messiah, is that it? Are there any other miracles he can attest to? :auiqs.jpg:

👉 I'd really like to hear a sensible argument against accusing Christianity of being a CULT. It seems there are none. But I'll keep the idea open just in case.
