Zone1 The Olivet Discourse (Matt. 24-25)

Christ now reverts back to 'kingdom of heaven' parables. The first of these are found back in (Matt.13:1-52). And they reveal the nature of the 'mystery form of the Kingdom' on earth now that the King has been rejected.

But, (Matt. 24) has taken us all the way to Christ's 2nd Coming. And that 'mystery form of the Kingdom' is no more. For Christ is literally, and physically, returning in power and glory. (Matt. 24:31) He is setting up God's Kingdom on the earth with Him as the King. And He is ruling and reigning in Jerusalem with Israel as the leading nation upon the earth.

Again, that which is said here in (Matt. 25) is not speaking to the Church. The Church will return with Christ. But that which is said in (Matt. 25:1-13) pertains to Israel living during the time of the Tribulation, and more specifically at the return of their King.

Thus it begins: "Then shall the kingdom of heaven..." What 'then'? After the return of Christ. (Matt. 24:10) (Matt. 24:44) (Matt. 24:50)

Remember what Christ told the scribes, Pharisees, and hypocrites? "But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in." (Matt. 23:13 Those religious leaders of Israel in their denial of their King, shut Israel out of the 'Kingdom of Heaven'. They didn't go in and they affected the nation of Israel to the degree that it didn't go in.

But they were religious. They were good Jews. They loved Moses and the Law. But they didn't approve of God's Man, Jesus Christ, as their King. They didn't approve of God's Son. They didn't approve of God. But they were sure religious.

I realize that this parable of the 'Ten Virgins' is often used by Christians to teach that a Christian can lose his salvation. But, it teaches no such thing. As already said, the Church has already gone to heaven at the Rapture and has returned with Christ. Their judgement is passed, which was a judgement in Heaven of rewards. (1 Cor. 3:11-16)

Members of the Church entered the 'Kingdom' when each accepted Christ as their Lord and Saviour. We who are the Church are already the Bride of Christ. We watch and wait for Christ to call us out of the earth at the Rapture. We don't look for the 2nd Coming of Christ to the earth. And this parable involves Christ's 2nd coming to earth and setting up the Kingdom.

In the parable of the 'Ten Virgins' it's important to identify who the participants are. And they are the bridegroom and the 10 virgins. Note that the bride is never mentioned.

This parable is quite similar to the one in (Matt. 22:1-14) which is another 'kingdom of heaven' parable, the parable of the 'Marriage Feast'. In (Matt. 22:2) it is called 'a marriage for his son'. In (Matt. 22:3) it is called a 'wedding'. In (Matt. 22:4) it is called a dinner. And then in (Matt. 22:10), those that were invited to it were called 'guests'.

Has anyone known of a bride getting an invitation to her own wedding? Of course not. But for some reason many make the guests the bride in this parable, just as they make the ten virgins the bride in (Matt. 24). Those 'guests' of (Matt. 22) and 'virgins' of (Matt. 24) are those known to the bride and bridegroom, and are thus part of the wedding and wedding feast.

And the 'virgins' are the 'companions' of the bride. (Ps. 45:9) "King's daughters were among the honorable women: upon thy right hand did stand the queen in gold of Ophir."

(Ps. 45:14) "She shall be brought unto the king in raiment of needlework: the virgins her companions that follow her shall be brought unto thee."

They are the 'virgins' mentioned in (Song of Solomon 1:3) "Because of the savour of thy good ointments thy name is as ointment poured forth, therefore do the virgins love thee."

Also identified as the 'daughters of Jerusalem' in (Song Of Solomon). Who constantly are told by the bride to not disturb her lover till he pleases. (2:7) "I charge you, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, by the roes, and by the hinds of the field, that ye stir not up, nor awake my love, till he please." See also, (3:5) and (8:14).

The 'ten virgins' of (Matt. 24) are the companions of the Bride, the daughters of Jerusalem. And thus, as Christ, the Bridegroom, has been absent from Israel, He has now returned to restore the kingdom to Israel. And He has a Bride with Him, the Church. And the wedding and feast are to have guests from a restored Israel. And in this parable of the 'Ten Virgins', the virgins represent Israelites in that day awaiting the time to enter for the wedding feast.

Just as in (Matt. 24:36-51) 'watchfulness' as to the return of Christ is implored, (24:42), so is it also in the parable of the 'Ten Virgins'. (Matt. 25:13). The Israelites during the Tribulation period must watch and be ready for Christ, the Messiah to return and set up His Kingdom.

With the 10 virgins you have 5 who are wise and 5 who are foolish. But, both did go out to meet the Bridegroom. (25:1) Both anticipated the coming of Messiah. Yet 5 were foolish in that they had no oil and their lamps were gone out. (25:8)

Every Israelite knows, or should know, that the oil is representative of the Spirit of God. (Zechariah 4:2-6) "And said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon the the top thereof. And two olive trees by it....Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts."

(Ex. 27:20) "And thou shalt command the children of Israel, that they bring thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamp to burn always."

(Ex. 30:7) "And Aaron shall burn thereon sweet incense every morning: when he dresseth the lamps, he shall burn incense upon it. And when Aaron lighteth the lamps at even, he shall burn incense upon it, a perpetual incense before the LORD throughout your generations."

The oil fuels the lamp producing the light. Without the oil, there is no light. When the Kingdom returns back to Israel at the coming of Messiah, Jesus Christ, Israel will be the light of the world. (Isaiah 60:1-3) "Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising."

Israel has always had in it those who are religious but are not interested in God. The time when Jesus was present among them is the prime example. They served the Law, but not God. They had position of authority, but no anointing of the Spirit of God. And they rejected the One sent from God. They in essence said to Him, we do not know you.

It will be that way in the Tribulation period also. There will be Israelites who are religious, who may even look forward to Messiah, yet not to Jesus Christ. They have a lamp, but no oil, no Spirit of God. They have no part with the restored Israel now which is the light of the world, because they have rejected the true Light of the World, Jesus Christ.

Thus Christ now says to them, I do not know you. (Matt. 25:12)

Some preliminary information.

The Gospel of (Matthew) pertains to the Kingdom. What Kingdom? The Kingdom of God implemented by God and exercised by God through man on the earth. (Matt. 6:10) "Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." This was what the disciples were to pray for.

The Gospel of (Matthew) is very Jewish, Israelitish. Why? Because they are the race and nation whose men will exercise God's will in that Kingdom, when it comes. It is why God created the nation of Israel. (Ex. 19:5-6) "Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine. And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel."

When you have a kingdom, you have a King. Thus the Bible is full of promises concerning the King to come to rule over that Kingdom. He is known as the Messiah. And will be Deity Himself. (Is. 9:6) "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, the everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."

It was this Kingdom that John the Baptist, Jesus, and the disciples came preaching. 'Repent for the Kingdom is at hand'. (Matt. 3:1-2) (Matt. 4:17) (Matt. 10:5-6) It was at hand because Jesus the King was coming.

But the King was rejected by Israel, the Jews. Thus the Kingdom didn't come. (Matthew 12) presents a great division in (Matthew) for it is there that Israel commits the unpardonable sin. Blasphemy against the Holy Ghost. Attributing to Satan the works of the Holy Ghost. The offer of the Kingdom is taken away. Jesus now looks only to the Cross and His death.

But God's promises of the Kingdom will remain, just unfulfilled at this time. And nothing but judgement is pronounced on that generation that rejected Him.

Here's what Jesus said to the "Jewish" leaders of his time:

John 8:44, “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.”

Matthew 3:7 (John speaking), "But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?"

Matthew 12:34, "O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh."

Matthew 23:33, "Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?"

Jesus had nothing but disdain for those following the man-made religion known as Pharisaism (modern Judaism).

Ok. So what is the problem?

Quantrill

The problem is that it's not necessarily a good idea to trust the Jewish leaders in any era. Let Christ be our example.

Well, the era we are discussing is the Tribulation era. There are Jews who are trying to survive the persecution of the anti-christ. Along with the 144,000 who are sealed by God for their protection.

No doubt there will be Jews who reject Christ and look for their Messiah still. But there are Jews who recognize Christ as their Messiah and anticipate His return.

Here I pre-empt my order of discussion and go to (Matt. 25:31-46)

(Matt. 25:31-32) "When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory. And before him shall be gathered all nations and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats."

We saw in the 'parable' of the 'Ten Virgins' that Christ made distinction between the Jews who would enter the Kingdom and those who would not. Here in (Matt. 25:31-32) God, Christ, is making distinction between the Gentile nations which shall enter the Kingdom and those who would not.

And what is the basis by which Christ shall judge these Gentile nations? I know the answer...but please...you tell me.

Quantrill

The answer is, how did you Gentiles treat Christ's brethren the Jews during the Tribulation period when they were being hunted and killed by the anti-christ? Did you try to help them? Or did you ignore their troubles because after all, they were Jews? Read all (Matt. 25:31-46).

(Matt. 25:1-30) contains two 'Kingdom of Heaven' parables. But (Matt. 25:31-46) is no parable. It is a judgement brought by Christ Himself. And it has eternal consequences. (25:46)

One might ask, how can that be as that makes salvation a work and not of faith in Christ. Remember that the Church is no longer on the earth during the Tribulation period. The Gospel of Grace, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, is not the Gospel preached during this time. The Gospel preached is the Gospel of the Kingdom. Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. Salvation from God is always by faith, and here one's faith is displayed by how they treat the Jews during the Tribulation, as they wait for the return of the King.

The Tribulation will be a terrible time. If one does not have the true faith in God he is not going to attempt to help any Israelite being viciously hunted down by the beast. If one does have the true faith in God, he cannot but help the Israelite when opportunity comes, at great risk to himself.

There are various opinions as to whether 'all nations' in (Matt. 25:32) speaks to 'a nation of people' or 'simply individuals'. Consider these verses.

(Deuteronomy 32:8) "When the most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel."

(Rev. 21:24) "And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it...."

Nations are made up of individuals, and I believe that a nation of people are involved here as well. There are certain nations where faith in the true God is not only allowed but openly supported. Then there are nations where such faith is practiced at one's peril.

Concerning Israel today. Israel today doesn't even believe its Bible. Maybe some orthodox Jews claim to, but most don't. But if they believed what the Old Testament is saying, then they would believe in Christ as their Messiah. So the Jews faith today cannot be trusted. It rejects the Son of God.

But we who are Christian believe the Jews Bible and our New Testament. And we know the promises of God that clearly state that God is not finished with Israel. That He will restore her to her rightful place, a chosen and believing nation of God, from where the Kingdom of God reign upon the earth, will be implemented.

The "Promise" of the kingdom would be re-established. It's clear and you wrote it that the kingdom did not take. It was rejected and taken away. Oh, it lingered for maybe about 67 years until John the Revelator was gone. But, after that, gone. There is nothing in the Bible that said the kingdom remained. The kingdom on earth (the Church of Jesus Christ) has been restored re-established through the Prophet Joseph Smith. Even The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Praise the Lord. A kingdom of priests and a holy priesthood and church.

Continued from post #(68):

Going back to (Matt. 25:14-30)

This is the last 'Kingdom of Heaven' parables. It is the 'parable of talents'. It is not difficult to understand. It's all about if one is faithful to what has been entrusted to him while the owner of the servants is gone to a far country, then he will be rewarded for it. (Matt. 25:14-23) But if one has not been faithful to that entrusted to him, he not only doesn't receive a reward, but that which he was given is also taken away. (Matt. 25:24-30)

This parable pictures the warning given In (Matt. 24:45-51). "Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household...."

Again, it is all important to remember that this is addressed to Israelites during the Tribulation period. Once they see those signs given in (Matt. 24:4-28) they know the time of the return of the King is soon. They are to watch and be ready. (Matt. 24:44)

And what are they to be faithful with? In the parable it had to do with a certain amount of money. So it speaks to responsibility in the economic situation they found themselves. That may sound 'unspiritual' but during the Tribulation period, money is going to be hard to come by for believing Israelites. For you cannot buy, sell, or trade unless you take the mark of the beast. (Rev. 13:17)

But, as said, the main thrust of the parable is to be faithful to what you have been given, and more will be added to you. Be unfaithful to what was given, and it will be taken away.

I'm going to address (Matt. 25:30) in the next post.

"The offer of the Kingdom is taken away."

Not so!

Jer 31:31 “Behold, the days come,” says Yahweh, “that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
Jer 31:32 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which covenant of mine they broke, although I was a husband to them,” says Yahweh.
Jer 31:33 “But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” says Yahweh: I will put my law in their inward parts, and I will write it in their heart. I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Jer 31:34 They will no longer each teach his neighbor, and every man teach his brother, saying, ‘Know Yahweh;’ for they will all know me, from their least to their greatest,” says Yahweh: “for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”
The Valley of Dry Bones
Eze 37:1 Yahweh’s hand was on me, and he brought me out in Yahweh’s Spirit, and set me down in the middle of the valley; and it was full of bones.
Eze 37:2 He caused me to pass by them all around: and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and behold, they were very dry.
Eze 37:3 He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” I answered, “Lord Yahweh, you know.”
Eze 37:4 Again he said to me, “Prophesy over these bones, and tell them, ‘You dry bones, hear Yahweh’s word.
Eze 37:5 Thus says the Lord Yahweh to these bones: “Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and you will live.
Eze 37:6 I will lay sinews on you, and will bring up flesh on you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and you will live. Then you will know that I am Yahweh.”’”
Eze 37:7 So I prophesied as I was commanded. As I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold, there was an earthquake. Then the bones came together, bone to its bone.
Eze 37:8 I saw, and, behold, there were sinews on them, and flesh came up, and skin covered them above; but there was no breath in them.
Eze 37:9 Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the wind, prophesy, son of man, and tell the wind, ‘Thus says the Lord Yahweh: “Come from the four winds, breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.”’”
Eze 37:10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up on their feet, an exceedingly great army.
Eze 37:11 Then he said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. Behold, they say, ‘Our bones are dried up, and our hope is lost. We are completely cut off.’
Eze 37:12 Therefore prophesy, and tell them, ‘Thus says the Lord Yahweh: “Behold, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, my people; and I will bring you into the land of Israel.
Eze 37:13 You will know that I am Yahweh, when I have opened your graves, and caused you to come up out of your graves, my people.
Eze 37:14 I will put my Spirit in you, and you will live. Then I will place you in your own land; and you will know that I, Yahweh, have spoken it and performed it,” says Yahweh.’”

I Will Be Their God, They Shall Be My People
Eze 37:15 Yahweh’s word came again to me, saying,
Eze 37:16 “You, son of man, take one stick, and write on it, ‘For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions.’ Then take another stick, and write on it, ‘For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions.’
Eze 37:17 Then join them for yourself to one another into one stick, that they may become one in your hand.
Eze 37:18 “When the children of your people speak to you, saying, ‘Won’t you show us what you mean by these?’
Eze 37:19 tell them, ‘Thus says the Lord Yahweh: “Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his companions; and I will put them with it, with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they will be one in my hand.
Eze 37:20 The sticks on which you write will be in your hand before their eyes.”’
Eze 37:21 Say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord Yahweh: “Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, where they have gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land.
Eze 37:22 I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel. One king will be king to them all. They will no longer be two nations. They won’t be divided into two kingdoms any more at all.
Eze 37:23 They won’t defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions; but I will save them out of all their dwelling places, in which they have sinned, and will cleanse them. So they will be my people, and I will be their God.
Eze 37:24 “‘“My servant David will be king over them. They all will have one shepherd. They will also walk in my ordinances, and observe my statutes, and do them.
Eze 37:25 They will dwell in the land that I have given to Jacob my servant, in which your fathers lived. They will dwell therein, they, and their children, and their children’s children, forever. David my servant will be their prince forever.
Eze 37:26 Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them. It will be an everlasting covenant with them. I will place them, multiply them, and will set my sanctuary among them forever more.
Eze 37:27 My tent also will be with them. I will be their God, and they will be my people.
Eze 37:28 The nations will know that I am Yahweh who sanctifies Israel, when my sanctuary is among them forever more.”’”
The Coming Day of the Lord

Zec 14:1 Behold, a day of Yahweh comes, when your plunder will be divided within you.
Zec 14:2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city will be taken, the houses rifled, and the women ravished. Half of the city will go out into captivity, and the rest of the people will not be cut off from the city.
Zec 14:3 Then Yahweh will go out and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.
Zec 14:4 His feet will stand in that day on the Mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives will be split in two, from east to west, making a very great valley. Half of the mountain will move toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
Zec 14:5 You shall flee by the valley of my mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach to Azel; yes, you shall flee, just like you fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Yahweh my God will come, and all the holy ones with you.
Zec 14:6 It will happen in that day, that there will not be light, cold, or frost.
Zec 14:7 It will be a unique day which is known to Yahweh; not day, and not night; but it will come to pass, that at evening time there will be light.
Zec 14:8 It will happen in that day, that living waters will go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the eastern sea, and half of them toward the western sea; in summer and in winter will it be.
Zec 14:9 Yahweh will be King over all the earth. In that day Yahweh will be one, and his name one.
Zec 14:10 All the land will be made like the Arabah, from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem; and she will be lifted up, and will dwell in her place, from Benjamin’s gate to the place of the first gate, to the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananel to the king’s wine presses.
Zec 14:11 Men will dwell therein, and there will be no more curse; but Jerusalem will dwell safely.
Zec 14:12 This will be the plague with which Yahweh will strike all the peoples who have fought against Jerusalem: their flesh will consume away while they stand on their feet, and their eyes will consume away in their sockets, and their tongue will consume away in their mouth.
Zec 14:13 It will happen in that day, that a great panic from Yahweh will be among them; and they will lay hold everyone on the hand of his neighbor, and his hand will rise up against the hand of his neighbor.
Zec 14:14 Judah also will fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the surrounding nations will be gathered together: gold, and silver, and clothing, in great abundance.
Zec 14:15 So will be the plague of the horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the donkey, and of all the animals that will be in those camps, as that plague.
Zec 14:16 It will happen that everyone who is left of all the nations that came against Jerusalem will go up from year to year to worship the King, Yahweh of Armies, and to keep the feast of tents.
Zec 14:17 It will be, that whoever of all the families of the earth doesn’t go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, Yahweh of Armies, on them there will be no rain.
Zec 14:18 If the family of Egypt doesn’t go up, and doesn’t come, neither will it rain on them. This will be the plague with which Yahweh will strike the nations that don’t go up to keep the feast of tents.
Zec 14:19 This will be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all the nations that don’t go up to keep the feast of tents.
Zec 14:20 In that day there will be on the bells of the horses, “HOLY TO YAHWEH”; and the pots in Yahweh’s house will be like the bowls before the altar.
Zec 14:21 Yes, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah will be holy to Yahweh of Armies; and all those who sacrifice will come and take of them, and cook in them. In that day there will no longer be a Canaanite in the house of Yahweh of Armies.

Rev 21:9 One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls, who were loaded with the seven last plagues came, and he spoke with me, saying, “Come here. I will show you the wife, the Lamb’s bride.”
Rev 21:10 He carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God,
Rev 21:11 having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, as if it were a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
Rev 21:12 having a great and high wall; having twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels; and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel.

Yawn...Well, a couple of things. The nation of Judah and the Nation of Joseph will have their own writings and books (scriptures) that will be joined as one in our hands to read, study and learn. This is in the last days. Now, you have the Bible which is the stick or book of Judah. Do you have the stick or book of scriptures of Joseph? Until then, the world and Israel are in apostasy. The kingdom is not upon the lands of the world.

And, by the way, if you disagree, write something. Just putting a thumbs down meme doesn't do anyone any good. It's actually quite stupid.

(Daniel 9:24) "Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city...."

Note first that Scripture is clear here. The Seventy Weeks are determined upon Daniel's people, the Jews, and upon the holy city, Jerusalem.

God said in (Jer. 29:10) "...after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place."

Has God changed His mind? Did He make a mistake and found out this would take longer? No, of course not. God will accomplish His promise of the seventy years as given in (Jer. 29:10). And He has.

See (Ezra 1:1-3) "Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying,

"Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, The LORD God of heaven hath given me all the kingdoms of the earth, and he hath charged me to build him an house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah.

"Who is there among you of all his people? his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah and build the house of the LORD God of Israel, (he is the God,) which is in Jerusalem."

So, God did not change his mind on anything. The 70 years were accomplished concerning the Babylonian captivity. The Jews could now return to Jerusalem.

But now further revelation is being given concerning the future of Israel. Remember, revelation from God is progressive. The revelation of God to Moses was not the end of it. There would be much more to be found in the Old Testament writings and prophets, over time. And (Daniel) was at the place where more was now given.

So Gabriel reveals to (Daniel) that 70 weeks are now determined for Israel. (Dan. 9:24) Now how do we determine the correct method of interpreting what God means by a 'week'? Could be 70 X 7 days to equal 490 days. I have suggested already that the week spoken of is a week of years, or 7years. Thus 70 weeks would be 70 weeks X 7 to equal 490 years. Is there Scripture support for that? I believe there is.

Remember Kadesh-barnea where Israel refused to go into the land God brought them to due to the evil report from the spies? (Num. 14:1-10) This grieved God sorely. And God said 'you don't want to go in, fine, you won't. you will wander in the wilderness till all of your generation dies.' See (Num. 14:26-33)

Then note (Num. 14:34) "After the number of the days in which ye searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty years, and ye shall know my breach of promise."

This does not mean a day for a year is always the prophetic calendar method of determining the time. But here it did. Why, because 'days' was what was involved. Forty days they searched out the land. So God says a year for each day. Forty years of judgement.

But in (Daniel 9:2) 'years' are what is involved, 70 years. Not days. Thus God reveals to (Daniel) that it won't be just 70 years, but it will be 70 weeks of years. (Dan. 9:24) "Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy."

Seventy sevens or 490 years.

Wow!!!!!!

May I quote you over into this other discussion?

Or how about you quote yourself......
with perhaps a tiny edit or two ?

Continued from post #(70):

(Matt. 25:30) "And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth."

The same is said concerning the 'evil servant' in (Matt. 24:48-51) And also in an earlier 'Kingdom of Heaven' parable prior to (Matt. 24). (Matt. 22:11-14) Here one tries to enter the wedding feast without the proper wedding garment and is cast into outer darkness.

It is first found in (Matt. 8:11-12) " And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven. But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth."

The point here is that some Gentiles shall enter the Kingdom while some Israelites, children of the Kingdom, are cast out into outer darkness. And faith is key in this parable, as Jesus said to this Roman centurion, (Matt. 8:10) "When Jesus heard it, he marveled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel."

We are talking about the 'Kingdom of Heaven'. Which is God's Kingdom set up on earth with God's nation Israel, and God's Man, Jesus Christ established as the center of its rule. And it will certainly consist of believing Gentile nations and believing Israelites. It is where the light of God issues from on earth.

But, does that mean that everyone on earth at that time are believers? I don't believe so. Remember, the 1000 year Millennial reign of Christ is not Heaven. It is God's Kingdom set up on earth. Was it ever here before? Yes. When God established the nation Israel and gave her His laws and was present in the Tabernacle/Temple with Israel, that was the Kingdom of God upon the earth. But that didn't mean everyone on earth were believers.

The Psalmist of Israel says, "Have respect unto the covenant: for the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty." (Psalm 74:20)

Thus, it's my opinion that the 'outer darkness' in regards to the Kingdom, is outside of the Kingdom on earth where the light of God is not penetrating. It is not an heaven or hell issue. Though that doesn't mean those in outer darkness won't eventually wind up in eternal hell. But at that present time, they are simply cast out of the Kingdom. A miserable place to be without a doubt. Just something to consider.

Thus I am finished with the 'Olivet Discourse'. (Matt. 24-25)

Your "Stupidity" is Immediately Obvious in your first sentence, & thereafter.
"Joseph", was never a "Nation", & the Name Joseph, is a reference to Ephraim, & Manasseh.

The Nation of "Judah", & The Nation of Israel" do not have their "Own Writings", that will be joined together, upon their "Re-unification". There is Nothing in The "Canonized Scriptures" that states that.

Then you cannot read. What do you think "stick" refers to? They are their writings that were given to them by God. They would be joined in the last days together and would be one in our hands to learn from. You even posted the writings in Ezekiel. Why can't you simply read.
Eze 37:16 “You, son of man, take one stick, and write on it, ‘For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions.’ Then take another stick, and write on it, ‘For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions.’

When, and "If",..... You Truly get Your Wits & Thoughts in order,..... Then maybe we can have an Honest, Almighty LORD GOD Honoring discussion.

You began this conversation by stating that Yudah (The Jews), & Yisrael "Had their Own Writings".

Cougar,..... Both "Houses", were,.... United at one time, and both Houses had access to The Torah.

And no where is it written, that a Prophet in One House, was not known of by those in the other House.

As far as "their own writings", give me 3 examples, of what You Believe, of what one "House" had/has, that the other "House" does not have.
