No. What I said is 100% true. Insurance causes healthcare costs to go up. You have removed the incentive of the consumer to save money.

If you're insured and you go to the doctor and he tells you I dont know what's wrong we need to do these 100 tests to figure it out. Do you ask him how much it costs to run all those tests?

It takes just as long to become a vet. The tests are essentially the same. The drugs are essentially the same. The treatments are essentially the same. Oddly the care for a dog is far less than for a human. Wonder why that is. Also vets have been pushing pet insurance for decades now. Ever wonder why?

Insurance removes all decisions based on cost. It allows the provider to set the costs far above what they would be able to do if people had to pay out of pocket and thus make a decision. That doesnt mean insurance is evil or that we should do away with it but acting like it doenst raise the price of care is silly.

If you could pay a flat fee to shop at a grocery store. As part of this program you get to take a dozen eggs per week. In the store they had eggs from factory farming chickens and eggs from free range organic etc etc chickens, which one would you choose?
