Do you think it takes more, less or the same skill to do an ACL repair on a dog vs human? Now tell me which costs more. Second question if you have insurance would you care how much they charged for your ACL repair? Third question. If your dog needed an ACL repair and the cost was 500k. If you had insurance to cover it would you get him the surgery? What about if you didn’t.
Vets have to contend with market forces far more than doctors do because for the most part the people using the doctors service arent the ones paying the bill.
