Why there is no such thing as racism against white people

In my professional life, I have worked for 3 companies that were owned or run by blacks. That gave them power over a number of people. While the numbers to not compare to national averages, your "racism doesn't exist" is obviously nonsense.

I do like that you added the "don't try to give me any bullshit from the oxford dictionary or webster dictionary". That is hilarious. But words DO have meanings. And you can't throw out the standard definition just because it does not fit your claims.

Racism is not about power. While power allows you to act on your hatred, it is not a requirement. Just because someone has no power, you cannot claim they do not hate someone based solely on race, without even knowing them. And THAT, kind sir, is racism.
Even if a person of color owns a business, they still suffer from institutional racism and are hurt by police profiling, and the fact they had to work twice as hard just to get where they are than any white person with a silver spoon born in his mouth. THerefore, even if a person of color is a CEO, they still do not have institutional power, and cannot be racist.

Why won't you answer a simple question about what you do for a living?
Because it is none of your business

Ok, perhaps something else?

As a socialist, what do you expect the govt to provide for you?

I believe that all citizens of this country should be provided a minimum income of around $4000 a year to all residents of the country, regardless of whether or not they work (which was actually a proposed law in the 1970's). We should also raise the minimum wage to a least $15, and in the case of those who cannot afford or are unable to house themselves, provide housing for these individuals.

These initiatives pay for themselves. We spend FAR more on incarcerating, arresting, and sentencing the poor and impoverished, and then arresting and incarcerating them again and again due to our fucked up justice system. In fact, the state of UTAH, one of THE most republican states, is trying to give free apartments to all homeless people. It costs their state less to give an apartment to every homeless person than it does to keep arresting, punishing, and policing the homeless. Utah Reduced Chronic Homelessness By 91 Percent; Here's How

The money for these initiatives could also be supplemented with defense cuts, if necessary. We do not need military bases in 80 countries.
And where does that $4000 per person and free housing come from?

You cannot transfer the birth defect of the US to other countries.

7 reasons why reverse racism doesn't exist

Racism requires power and privelege to exist.

People of color do not have any power or privilege in this white dominated society. This is shown by the fact that people of color are FAR more likely to be sentenced to prison while whites get off on plea deals for the same exact crimes.

Sure, there may be a few rich people of color in this country, but even the richest African American in the US still gets racially profiled by police. Even Senator Tim Scott (who is a Republican, by the way) has openly talked about being profiled by police for his skin color. Even President Obama, back when he was a senator, used to see people lock their car doors as he walked by, showing that people of color in all walks of life still face plenty of hate and discrimination.

Because racism requires power and privelege, and since whites are the only racial group with institutional power and privelege in this country, only whites can be racist. Saying that racism against whites exists is like saying 2 plus 2 equals 800. It's just not factually possible.

And don't try to give me any bullshit from the oxford dictionary or webster dictionary about what their definition of racism is. These dictionaries were written by old white men who never experienced racism in their lives, and therefore should not be trusted to provide an accurate, unbiased definition of the word.

The fact that the business owner has faced racism does not change the point I made.

If the business owner mistreats employees or customers, based solely on their race, that is, by definition, racism.

The fact that it is less common does not change that. The fact that there is worse racism in other places does not change that. If a black person treats someone as inferior, based on their race, they are racist. The amount of power they have only determines the scope of the damage. It does not change the fact that it is racism.

I repeat again that as a whole, people of color are powerless in this country, and therefore, as a whole, people of color cannot be racist. Since people of color cannot be racist in this country, this means that no people of color, under any conditions, can be "racist," since even if one poc is a millionaire, the fact that people of color as a whole are powerless and underpriveleged means that no people of color can be racist.

Cuts to the massive prison incarceration system (aka the release of all people in there solely for drug use or possession), as well as cuts to the military budget, plus the fact that the reduction of homelessness ends up SAVING costs due to reduced need for policing and smaller prison populations.

Basically, your argument is that you say they can't be racist. And any argument against that is wrong because they can't be racist.

If a hispanic man dislikes blacks, simply because they are black, he is a racist. If his actions against blacks are different, because they are black, and his treatment of them is less than his treatment of others, he is guilty of racism. It really is that simple.

Being a racist is about how you think. Racism is acting on that. It can go either way.

People react that way because the evidence says we should.

Chairman Gonzalo, can you give us your definition of "racist" and "racism"?

My definition of racism is simply what people of color who have experienced it describe it as: discrimination against people of color by whites, who hold the power and privelege in this society

Then you are rewriting the definition to suit your argument.

If the definition of racism is what people of color experience from whites, then of course people of color can't be racist. Because YOUR definition presents it as ONLY one way. You do not get to redefine words to suit your agenda.

Individuals of color can certainly be racist.

People of color cannot, by definition, be racist, since racism requires institutionalized power and privelege, and people of color have neither institutional power nor privelege.

Being a racist is about belief. If you believe another race is inferior, solely because of race, then you are a racist.

Suppose a man of color hates white people and thinks they are inferior because they are white. Are you saying that no such person exists? Or are you saying that he is not racist?

Racism is an action. Being a racist is not. Words do have actual meanings.

So you are saying that a man of color believing that white people are inferior because they are white is not a racist?

That is all I need to know. You have simply decided to change and narrow the definition of existing words to suit your agenda. You have not denied that there are people of color who hate white people and think they are inferior. You simply changed the definition of "racist" to specifically exclude white people, and white people only. Can you not see how ridiculous that is?

In fact, since you are changing the definition of words to suit an agenda designed specifically to exclude and demean white people, solely on the basis of race. That makes your argument, by common definition, racist. You are guilty of racism.
