Zone1 Lesson Number 655-Racism is A Violent Crime

Well, the question is, How does a typical Black American "experience" racism?

Statistically, a "typical Black American" is born to a single mother who has extremely limited resources. S/he will live in a marginal neighborhood, go to an underperforming school, and have few positive role models. S/he will have a low-normal IQ, which removes the real possibility of serious higher education, entrepreneurship, or even mastery of valuable skilled trades. S/he will be raised in a culture that disdains academic success and emphasizes what used to be called, "anti-social" behavior such as petty crime, substance abuse, and horrible money management. S/he will often look to Government for meeting of basic human needs such as food, shelter, healthcare, and of course education.

And if s/he ends up sucking on the hind teat of life, it's due to racism?

Where is the racism in all of this? Exactly how does s/he experience racism, and how does it limit his/her success in life?

And keep in mind, if the Black Americans in question are born into intact families (both parents in the home) manifesting "middle-class values," the sky is the limit for what they can accomplish. At least it seems that way to me (old White guy).

It is funny how the white right wing has tried reversing what racism is. But no matter how much you try, pointing out the effects of white racism on people of color is not racism. The reallity here is that you can't dispute the findings of psychologists so you try attacking me.
Trump will get nearly 30% of the black vote in Nov ..

More of the ignorant white opinion. It's time old white men who have benefitted from white racial preference shut up and started listening to blacks about how things are for black people.

Charles Blow wrote an article in the New York Times titled, “Black Dads Are Doing Best of All.” The issue of unwed births has no relation to whether two parents are around. An unwed birth is a child born while the couple is not married. That does not mean a man and a woman are not together raising the child. The single mother narrative got destroyed long ago because a single mother does not mean a man will not be around to influence the child as it grows up. Most of these women have boyfriends. Many of these women eventually marry.

Josh Levs points this out in his new book, “All In,” in a chapter titled “How Black Dads Are Doing Best of All (But There’s Still a Crisis).” One fact that Levs quickly establishes is that most black fathers in America live with their children: “There are about 2.5 million black fathers living with their children and about 1.7 million living apart from them.” -Charles Blow

The Centers for Disease Control published a report titled “Fathers’ Involvement With Their Children: United States, 2006–2010,” in the National Health Report on December 20, 2013. Some of the findings are as follows:

A higher percentage of fathers who lived with their children under age 5 fed or ate meals with them daily—72% compared with 7.9% of fathers with noncoresidential children. A higher percentage of fathers living apart from their children did not feed or eat meals with them at all in the last 4 weeks—43% compared with 0.8% of fathers with coresidential children (Table 2). Variation by Hispanic origin and race was seen in the percentages of coresidential fathers who ate meals with their children every day. Specifically, Hispanic fathers were less likely to eat meals with their children every day (64%) than were non-Hispanic white (74%) or non-Hispanic black (78%) fathers.

There was a significant difference by Hispanic origin and race among fathers with coresidential children: Black fathers (70%) were most likely to have bathed, dressed, diapered, or helped their children use the toilet every day compared with white (60%) and Hispanic fathers (45%).

A higher percentage of Hispanic fathers aged 15–44 (52%) had not played with their noncoresidential children in the last 4 weeks compared with white (30%) and black (25%) fathers.

Larger percentages of Hispanic (82%) and white (70%) fathers had not helped their noncoresidential children with homework at all in the last 4 weeks compared with black fathers (56%).

Pew Research estimated that 67 percent of black dads who do not live with their kids see them at least once a month, compared to 59 percent of white dads and 32 percent of Hispanic dads.

So everything you say is wrong. And since you don't experience racism, nor study whathappens because of the behavior dueto the fact you benefitfrom p[racticing it, yu wouldnot understand that a woman could think her self worth is tie up into sex, which is a maladaptive behavior caused by racism.

“On occasion, the emotional weight of racism can lead African Americans to engage in maladaptive coping, such as remaining in denial, engaging in substance use, aggression, self-blame – even in extreme cases suicide (i.e., Black Lives Matter activist Marshawn McCarrel) and terrorism (i.e., Dallas shooter Micah Xavier Johnson). These responses are harmful and lead to negative, long-term consequences.”

White women who have suffered from abuse also use sex the same way. So again, you know nothing and your opinion is colored by your racism. There seems to be a state of confusion among members of the racist subculture as to what racism is. They have made racism into a few bad words or a claim that denies behavior and limits it to thoughts. Racism is more than thoughts and spoken slurs.
