Why there is no such thing as racism against white people

Even if a person of color owns a business, they still suffer from institutional racism and are hurt by police profiling, and the fact they had to work twice as hard just to get where they are than any white person with a silver spoon born in his mouth. THerefore, even if a person of color is a CEO, they still do not have institutional power, and cannot be racist.

Why won't you answer a simple question about what you do for a living?
Because it is none of your business

Ok, perhaps something else?

As a socialist, what do you expect the govt to provide for you?

I believe that all citizens of this country should be provided a minimum income of around $4000 a year to all residents of the country, regardless of whether or not they work (which was actually a proposed law in the 1970's). We should also raise the minimum wage to a least $15, and in the case of those who cannot afford or are unable to house themselves, provide housing for these individuals.....

And when the economy collapses entirely, you will have the 3rd world nightmare that idiotic socialists seem to want.
As I explained in that post, these policies pay for themselves, since it costs FAR less to prevent homelessness and poverty than it does to deal with the high crime and social unrest caused by said poverty

In my professional life, I have worked for 3 companies that were owned or run by blacks. That gave them power over a number of people. While the numbers to not compare to national averages, your "racism doesn't exist" is obviously nonsense.

I do like that you added the "don't try to give me any bullshit from the oxford dictionary or webster dictionary". That is hilarious. But words DO have meanings. And you can't throw out the standard definition just because it does not fit your claims.

Racism is not about power. While power allows you to act on your hatred, it is not a requirement. Just because someone has no power, you cannot claim they do not hate someone based solely on race, without even knowing them. And THAT, kind sir, is racism.

These initiatives pay for themselves. We spend FAR more on incarcerating, arresting, and sentencing the poor and impoverished, and then arresting and incarcerating them again and again due to our fucked up justice system. In fact, the state of UTAH, one of THE most republican states, is trying to give free apartments to all homeless people. It costs their state less to give an apartment to every homeless person than it does to keep arresting, punishing, and policing the homeless. Utah Reduced Chronic Homelessness By 91 Percent; Here's How

The money for these initiatives could also be supplemented with defense cuts, if necessary. We do not need military bases in 80 countries.

These homes we provide, are they furnished? Is there cable/internet? Can residents be evicted for violence or illegal activity?

Bullshit socialist fantasy.

You mean incarcerating criminals, idiot. Criminals who would be only too happy to treat weaklings like you the way nature intended.
People can be thrown into jail in this country for owning a harmless plant, sleeping on a park bench, relieving themselves in public because they have no bathrooms available to them, asking for spare change, or for simply asking a police officer why they are being stopped. These people are not "criminals" in any way, shape, or form.

Meanwhile, the real criminals are the right wingers who want to punish innocent people and sentence them to a prison system which ruins any chance they have of improving their lives.

I agree that we spend far too much on jailing criminals for pot or similar nonviolent crimes. But violent felons should be incarcerated.

A simple bed will do, as well as a simple phone system, and access to the internet for the purpose of job seeking or online education, should be provided.

Residents who turn out to be violent or partake in serious illegal activity should be sent through a reformed justice system, which focuses on rehabilitation, not punishment.

Rehabilitation? Sex offenders are very rarely helped by rehabilitation. Especially since they will remain segregated from society.

How many times must a violent felon be convicted before they forfeit their right to be a part of society?

Or the right to use our oxygen.

7 reasons why reverse racism doesn't exist

Racism requires power and privelege to exist.

People of color do not have any power or privilege in this white dominated society. This is shown by the fact that people of color are FAR more likely to be sentenced to prison while whites get off on plea deals for the same exact crimes.

Sure, there may be a few rich people of color in this country, but even the richest African American in the US still gets racially profiled by police. Even Senator Tim Scott (who is a Republican, by the way) has openly talked about being profiled by police for his skin color. Even President Obama, back when he was a senator, used to see people lock their car doors as he walked by, showing that people of color in all walks of life still face plenty of hate and discrimination.

Because racism requires power and privelege, and since whites are the only racial group with institutional power and privelege in this country, only whites can be racist. Saying that racism against whites exists is like saying 2 plus 2 equals 800. It's just not factually possible.

And don't try to give me any bullshit from the oxford dictionary or webster dictionary about what their definition of racism is. These dictionaries were written by old white men who never experienced racism in their lives, and therefore should not be trusted to provide an accurate, unbiased definition of the word.

In my professional life, I have worked for 3 companies that were owned or run by blacks. That gave them power over a number of people. While the numbers to not compare to national averages, your "racism doesn't exist" is obviously nonsense.

Racism and racist are two different things. A racist can practice racism if they have the power (opportunity/resources). In order to have the power the race that the racist belongs to must be in power. Here is an example. If all white owned banks decided to not give Black people loans, bank accounts, credit cards, etc, that would be racism because it would effect many Black people. If Black owned banks did the opposite and denied service to whites I guarantee not one white person would even notice.

How effective they are at it may depend on their power. If someone believes that a particular race is inherently superior, or they think race is the main source of the characteristics of people, they are racists.

If I hate black people, whether I have the power to do anything about it or not, I am a racist. If a black person hates white people (based solely on their race) then they are, by definition, a racist.

Exactly. You dont need any power to be a racist. I mean look at some of the clowns on this board for an example of that. In order to practice racism (which is a system based on race) you need to have the power to control that system, that resource, that opportunity.

Japan started a war, conquered big chunks of China, murdered millions of Chinese people, and when we defeated them, we had mercy on them and did not murder millions of them. The Japanese got off easy and they know it.
Lucky for them they were not Native Americans.
The Native Americans died of smallpox and the ones who survived that drank themselves to death.
Somewhat true but there's more to the story

Since Japan is suffering to this day from white imperialism and aggression, any Japanese citizen would be justified in mistrusting a white person, given that whites were the oens who dropped nuclear weapons on two civilian cities.
Is it your contention that justified racism is not racism?

In any case, prejudice against whites in Japan existed long before nuclear devices were detonated there.
Once again, people of color cannot be racist, since racism requires power and prejudice. Since the people of Japan are still under effective military occupation by the white domianted usa, which still has not apologized for the obliteration of two innocent cities, they are justified in feeling suspicious about whites.

you described Obama, so you are wrong

President Obama is mostly white, and therefore enjoys a certain level of white privelege

Also, even if the President has some non-white blood, that doesn't suddenly mean that all the generals, most politicians, most bankers, etc. stop being white.
