The recent decision on corporation free speech has angered a lot of liberals but no one on either side has even asked IF and I stress IF the federal government has any power to regulate how any campaign should be done. I believe that that power is reserved for the state that the representative or senator comes from and if I am wrong can someone point something in the constitution that gives the federal government that power.

McCain Feingold seems to be suffering a death by a thousand cuts. Every time the Supremes take up some part of it they find it unconstitutional. Rightly so.
I always thought McCain should be ridden out of the GOP on a rail just for that piece of legislation.

Didn't W. say he thought it was unconstitutional... right before he signed it?
