To bounce back, the democratic party would have to make a major shift right towards the center. Even though they lost the popular vote for the first time in forever, they won't do that. I think they will move more to the left since repudiating their current stances would make the party leaders lose face.

They will go center, it's about power and money. The donors will flee if they go further left. $2 billion just disappeared without a single good result. The whole woke, tranny, pro-illegal, pro-Hamas movement cost them votes and the middle class.

The fact is both parties are in a transition phase. Another fact is that Trump won because he is neither a Democrat or a Republican and he easily won the nomination by votes from "Republicans" who are not really Republicans but Populists/Nationalists. One could say that the Republican party doesn't exist anymore because their voters are really those Populists/Nationallists.

With all the branches of the federal government now safely tucked under the wing of the Republican Party, other than some goofy speeches being made by Democrats, can it be concluded that on the federal level, there is no Democratic party any more ?

Republicans, with now unrestricted power nationally, with Trump's good management skills, and election fraud seemingly extinguished, it is likely that the mid terms will see even greater Republican majorities in Congress, and the Supreme Court anytime.

Perhaps the 2020-2024 Democratic Party that brought us the widely unpopular (if not hated) policies of

• defunding (or abolishing) police,
• occupying neighborhoods,
• men in womens' rest rooms,
• men in women's sports,
• illegal alien caravans,
• migrants getting hotel rooms/cellphones/gift cards,
• criminals attacking cops & being released,
• UNVETTED illegal aliens killing American women
• ad infinitum, ad nauseum

are now a thing of the past, and the 2 party system of national politics, will now consist of only Republicans, with one sub party very conservative, and the other slightly less
