I watched this whole hearing, and I never heard one Democrat Senator, nor witness that the Democrats called, say criminal aliens should be deported.

Instead they hedge their words by saying "they should be dealt with," or "anyone who breaks the law should suffer the consequences."



So, what does that mean? Some kind of "resorative justice," followed by early release and a path to citizenship?

My feeling on it is that liberals believe in their heart that even when Illegal aliens comit crimes, they still make better citizens than so called "MAGA" republicans. so therefore its very difficult for them to say they should be deported.

whats to address? you have a mental disconnect. Were talking about illegal aliens who get arrested 14 F'ing times in sanctuary cities and kept getting put back out on the street until they do something worse... and you call it shoplifting. If an American citizen gets arrested for child molestation or other crap like that.. then let them rot in an AMERICAN prison. WHole point is we dont need foreigners who are not citizens clogging up our legal system and jails.. kick them out. But the problem now is gangs and cartels have set up shop here. But, she was not willing to say forthrightly that even the illegal alien who raped and murdered the daughter of one of the witnesses should no longer be welcome in the U.S.

We know you don't want illegal aliens deported, even after they've been through all legal due process and ordered to leave. But what about illegal aliens who commit crimes in this country, or have committed crimes in their home countries?

Deport or let them stay just like the Dreamers?

If convicted here, I think they should be punished here, without parole, prior to being expelled to freedom across the border, is my only concern.

Well, if they committed rape and murder in this country they should serve a jail sentence in this country.

Sending them back is kind of pointless if they just sneak back in.

The problem is as long as there's a good reason to come here, they will. As long as they have bodies and we have job openings, they will come.

then we would need to build more prisons and jails to account for the new population of criminals, besides our own.
problem is in many cities they are not being prosecuted but being released over and over again until something worse happens. They should have been deported much earlier in these cases.

Without punishment, releasing back outside the country is a big benefit, our own home-grown criminal (that far outnumber, btw) do not have. You would not want our murderers rapists, armed robbers released on the streets without punishment. Why do you want this benefit for illegal aliens, plus a free bus ride or plane ride home?

More prisons needed ? That creates more jobs (for Americans) = more salaries = more spending in the stores = more taxes being paid & more revenue.

I agree the VERY violent criminals should not be set free, unless we can make some arangements with their home country to lock them up. But who should be deported are Illegal immigrants who commit crimes of lesser charge, like simple assault on the street.. why lock them up and then begin a lengthy process of a revolving door where they get arrested again and again? or crimes like theft, drunken driving, all the same thing. Otherwise what you have is our legal and prison systems being clogged... and thse people using tax payer money for legal representation over and over again. Why is this fair to us?

You think people come here only for job openings??? if you were a criminal who robbed people and homes in Venezuela for example.. why would you choose to stay there where you have high risk for little reward. You can com ehere to the U.S.... if you rob a home the payout is immense in comparison to what they net back home. The risk is also less, as our legal system is soft and easy. Back in their home country they get thrown to the dogs behind four walls..
The problem is STILL an open border where anyone can come here. THAT is what has to stop before anything else can really be fixed.

Hard labor prisons in the western deserts sounds good. You know, some place they really don't want to be. I am not really a mean person, but I would not care what happened to them or became of them there, with hard labor digging holes and filling them back up, and shitty rations similar to the public school lunch program, in a Lord Of The Flies environment. Safely away for American public.
