No, because what reading I've done by pilots who fly in the area, says that these are literally just aircraft and the "panic" reported in the press and news is apparently herd mentality, hysteria.

If this is the case it could explain Musk's silence, he know its all BS so has nothing to say.

Well the subject is almost a side curiosity on these tech drone forums, it isn't big news there at all in any of the drone forum sites I looked at. It's not really being taken seriously, regarded as people who don't know about drones misinterpreting lights in the sky and so on.

It's to experts that I turn with stories like this, if these guys were panicking and posting videos etc. then I'd give the stories some credence but it really does seem to be hype, total nonsense.

There are tons of aviation, drone, radio control sites out there with members who are often experts and retired military and engineering professors etc., if these guys aren't caring then I'm not. This is a lesson in media hysteria and - if I may say - the irrational gullibility of the American public.

Joe Public jumps on stories like this because the people in the US are predisposed to believe in conspiracy fantasies, hence the recently elected Trumpanzee in chief (deep state, vaccines, global warming, FEMA controlling weather etc etc etc)

The dismissive remarks by drone experts (on numerous blogs) trumps the hype reported by the press. The press want people to read, to trawl through their stories because that's their business - sell audiences to advertisers and stories like this are a gift to them.

Why would you want Musk's comment then?

What I did do was point out how Musk's silence is not consistent with what I'd expect if there really was a genuine problem with drones in NJ. Can you think of a reason why Musk hasn't tweeted about this? hasn't seized the opportunity to attack Biden, the "deep state" the DOD, the FBI?

He has attacked these before but right now he isn't...why is that? he's shy all of a sudden?
