Zone1 Another question to ponder.

Evagrius's list was translated into the Latin of Western Christianity in many writings of John Cassian,[8][9] one of Evagrius’s students; the list thus became part of the Western tradition's spiritual pietas or Catholic devotions as follows:[4]

 1. Gula (gluttony)
 2. Luxuria/Fornicatio (lust, fornication)
 3. Avaritia (greed)
 4. Tristitia (sorrow, despair, despondency)
 5. Ira (wrath)
 6. Acedia (sloth)
 7. Vanagloria (vanity, vainglory)
 8. Superbia (pride) <----------------------------------------
In the context of religion pride is used to suppress individual thought. They dont say excessive pride or self centered. They want servants who obey. The one who questions is made to feel shame

How many times do you need to hear the answer, TN.

God didn't send a flood to kill the entire planet. The flood account was an allegorical account of an historical event that was so out of the ordinary and unusual that it was noteworthy enough to be passed down orally from generation to generation. And like the other historical events in the first eleven chapters of Genesis, it was embellished with moral truths to make it more memorable so that it was easier to remember and pass down.
The Biblee is man made, a collection of stories some real some ain't. I can live with that. Revelations says it's 100% truth though.

Humankind is generally understood not to be the only of God's intelligent creations.

That said, humankind was the only one of His creations to disobey Him, see the garden of Eden.

Because God is a God of love and not force, choice is the central factor of our existence.

Brings us to Jesus where we, individually, have to choose Him.

This is a very short and simplistic form of the answer, but hopefully satisfies what you wanted to know.
Why would he have made all those people if he knew what choice they were going to make?

Why would he have made all those people if he knew what choice they were going to make?
That's the thing about choice, isn't it?

Actually, to go deeper into this topic, it's believed that God is proving His love to the universe by showing how He treats even those who disobey Him.

Which is going back to humankind (all of us here on earth) not being the only created beings.

We're the only ones who disobeyed Him, but yet and still, He hasn't outright destroyed us, which He could have at the point of Adam, or even at the point of Noah (which was referred to earlier in this thread).

Hope this brings more clarity.

There is no testimony only what you think it means when you cant even read the language. The Pentateuch is a Jewish work. There is no Devil in Judaism.. Consequently the belief in the devil doesnt come from the bible.
It comes from Zoroastrianism or dualism.
Feel free to believe in Satan but he isnt in the bible. Hes in your mind

Proving to whom?

I would love you to be more explanatory there.
Going by those we know, the angels, they are also created beings.

He's proving to them his love.

We get this meeting of others in the universe in Job 1, specifically verse 6

What makes you think angels are not allusions to extra terrestrials as is proposed in chariots of the gods ?

Which proof are you able to offer to prove that goad is male as nature includes different forms of sex codons ?

So god sent jesus (himself) to save us from himself. He did that so he could forgive sins. Atonement.
Why didnt he do that, instead of the flood? Why did he kill the entire planet and almost all the animals, when he could have just sent jesus earlier? Did the omniscient one just not think of jesus yet? Or is he just a freaking psychopath?
This is just another pondering that leaves me in the "WTF" category.
They're all do-overs. They're all new creations, or new heaven and earths. Adam and Eve, Noah's flood, Assyrian captivity, Babylonian captivity, and finally judgement on Judea, the final judgement.

Their god, God, was a god of second chances. And third chances, and fourth chances . . .

And suddenly he stopped and for over 2,000 years we have neither heard him or seen him chastise us and whatnot. Now we are supposed to believe because a book written over 2,000 years ago told us to.

No, the Book of Job is not in the Torah (the first five books of the Bible: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy) but is a separate book in the Hebrew Bible (Tanakh) in the Ketuvim (Writings) section, dealing with profound questions of suffering and divine justice, often seen as a wisdom literature classic.

No, the Book of Zechariah is not in the Torah; the Torah (or Pentateuch) consists of the first five books of the Bible (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy). Zechariah is a book of the Minor Prophets, found in the Prophets section (Nevi'im) of the Hebrew Bible (Tanakh) and the Christian Old Testament.

It's right there in their Jewish text. The final judgement. It's what they believed. Argue with them.

Good luck, though. They're dead.

Oh, BTW, they also believed the voice of God would be through human beings.
