Zone1 Another question to ponder

You use the word desert like it indicates a kind inferiority. Thats more of an indication of your self perceived inferiority. Its also not very smart

desert dwellers is used to represent the three middleeast religions using the same preambles in their bibles - as being a single combined religion disguised as three.

Says the guy evading addressing why his religious texts say one thing and history says the exact opposite.
Its really about what you say not texts or history. Who cares

It's literally about why your religious texts say one thing and history says the opposite. And why you won't explain why.

I dont have to explain anything

You don't understand your own religious texts.
Yes I do and yours as well. Its basic psychology. Jews believe in freedom you goyim believe in threats and hell we gave that dumb belief up 5000 years ago

You literally just proved the opposite. When you understand your own religious texts, let me know.

So, many times during biblical debates, the argument "mistranslation" comes up.
So that begs the question.. if God created everything, how did he fail at creating a book that couldn't be mistranslated? You would think, since he is so prone to genociding non believers and their children, or sending them to hell, he would have made a book that couldn't be misconstrued. It wouldn't have had books left out by humans. It wouldn't have had verses changed. It wouldnt have 500 kabillion different versions that all say different things.
He can make the universe. He can make our solar system. He can make earth. He can make us. He can make plants survive without the sun. But he couldn't make a proper book?
It just doesn't make sense to me.
And on top of all that, in this little area of the earth, the only place he chose to show himself, had all the prophets, his son, he gave all these people visions etc. And he would know it was of no use, but he did it anyway? And expects us to believe in it or burn?
What a weird thing an all knowing creator would do.
Maybe someone has a good made up argument for this?
The Bible is like the Constitution of the United States. It really is not as hard to understand as people pretend. In fact, Progressives of both parties use the General Welfare clause of the Constitution to interpret it as meaning that the government can do anything it wants so long as it is for the General Welfare of the citizens of America, even though James Madison, who wrote the General welfare clause, wrote about what he meant by it, spelling it out for them.

“If Congress can employ money indefinitely to the general welfare, and are the sole and supreme judges of the general welfare, they may take the care of religion into their own hands; they may appoint teachers in every State, county and parish and pay them out of their public treasury; they may take into their own hands the education of children, establishing in like manner schools throughout the Union; they may assume the provision of the poor; they may undertake the regulation of all roads other than post-roads; in short, every thing, from the highest object of state legislation down to the most minute object of police, would be thrown under the power of Congress... Were the power of Congress to be established in the latitude contended for, it would subvert the very foundations, and transmute the very nature of the limited Government established by the people of America.”

So, anyone who really wanted to understand the General Welfare clause could plainly see that how it is interpreted today is not what he intended, which was a limited government and not the subverted government behemoth we have today. All one needs are two eyes and a brain cell or two to figure that out. But the thing is, those who wrongly interpret the Constitution don't give a damn. No, they are there just to lie their arse off as they use it to justify pretty much everything and anything they want to do in government.

But without their deception and lies, their political philosophy would have no legitimacy. The same can be said for those who knowingly and willingly mistranslate the Bible. However, if you dig further down to what is going on, whether it be subverting the Constitution or the world of God, there is an evil that is behind it all. The Bible says that satan has been defeated. He is outgunned and outmanned, so all he has left is deception. Being a chess player, I understand this. Chess players are taught that when you are losing, your best hope is to complicate the board as much as possible, in order to trick you opponent into making a mistake, which is necessary for you to be able to win. Your best chance of avoiding this on the chess board, however, is to simplify by trading off as many pieces as you can. Keeping it simple is the key, like the simplicity of the good news of the gospel.

The book is a masterpiece, TN. With layers of information. But you would have to read it to discover them. It is and has been the most sold book ever, so what you are missing is perhaps the reason you fail to see the layout. Science, morality, numeric, historic, allegory, literal, and spiritual. All there in the manual.

As all the "books" of others are valuable, if they were all included, you wouldn't be able to pick the book up. What we have now is a complete guide for life on earth, and to prep for life eternal. <And it would be nice if you came along with me.

The most stunning layer of the Bible is the Bible Code. Long since proved not to be monkey text, what is uncovered in the code is remarkable and accurate. And needs a computer to be revealed. Many, such as Newton knew the code was there but couldn't retrieve it. It was far to complex. Had he been able to decode it, he would have known that there will be twin towers that will be attacked, by whom and how they will be attacked.

I bet if you picked up a Bible today and read one page, you will have learned something.

Here is how Augustine described it:
“For such is the depth of the Christian Scriptures that, even if I were attempting to study them and nothing else, from boyhood to decrepit old age, with the utmost leisure, the most unwearied zeal, and with talents greater than I possess, I would still be making daily progress in discovering their treasures.” :eusa_angel:
