Zone1 Another question to ponder

I dont believe in God at all.

Now, your turn.

Two choices.
I don't take ultimatums such as "Two choices". Genesis (Hebrew scripture) tell us there were six time periods to creation. The King James English used "day" to describe the Hebrew word that has more meanings than just a 24-hour day.

Next, God is described as creator, (past-present-future). God is creating, and we belong to his creation, and we, too, have the ability to create.

Either God was the first mover, or God was not the first mover. There is no third choice.

If so, then God did indeed just "poof" everything into existence. If you have a problem with that word due to it being glib -- and also due to you taking the idea of God so seriously -- that's your problem to work through, and nobody else's.

So, was God the first mover or not?

God is Creator.

No I don't. Just as a 6 year old who doesnt believe unicorns make ice cream in the 6th dimension doesnt "have" to explain where ice cream comes from, in order to rationally reject a belief in unicorns in the 6th dimension.

So that's wrong.

I am perfectly fine saying, "I don't know. "

But you are perfectly sure it's not God and Jesus Christ, although the evidence for the latter is historical.

Okay, you do you.....good luck

After several dodges on your part, I was not optimistic that you would answer.

I am used to this rudeness and doublespeak by the religious folks. It's expected.
Try to understand. What is the knowledge you are seeking or believe you have? You say you don't believe in God. Are you focusing on the first motivator, or are you focusing on God? Are you focusing on knowledge of how creation began or are you focused on the Creator, himself? I am not going to follow you down your rabbit trails of what you may seriously consider the pursuit of knowledge, or what knowledge that Aristotle (and others) were defining as knowledge. Our difference may be that you want to know knowledge, while I want to know God.

God is Creator. Start there. I think you may be pursuing, Well, then how did God create (knowledge)--to try to prove that particular how a fallacy.

There is more contemporary historical evidence for Jesus than almost any other figure from antiquity.

non at all, statue, carvings, clay reliefs the true events were the repudiation of the prevailing religion, judaism - false commandments et al and was not just jesus they crucified the evidence for the truth is obscured as well.

referring to the 4th century christian bible is nothing more than the same puff of smoke without a single document preserved used to write their book of fiction.

if so, one would never become a desert dweller their written bibles of forgeries lies and fallacies.
Catholicism teaches that God is the ultimate source of truth, reason, and order, making Him fundamentally logical rather than subject to an external set of rules. As divine reason (or Logos), God cannot act contrary to logic, as self-contradiction would violate His perfect nature.
Key aspects of this teaching include:
  • Source of Logic: Logic exists because God is rational and consistent, not because it is a rulebook He must follow.
  • Truth Itself: God is truth meaning that divine perfection is aligned with perfect consistency.
  • Faith and Reason: The Church holds that faith and reason are compatible, as both have God as their author.
  • Divine Nature: God's power is not hindered by logic, but rather His essence determines what is possible, as contradictions (like a square circle) are not realities.
Catholicism fundamentally teaches that "God is love" (1 John 4:8), as it is central to its theology. God is understood not just as loving, but as the very source, essence, and definition of love, which is revealed through Jesus Christ, the Trinity (an eternal exchange of love), and the Incarnation.

Key Aspects of the Catholic Understanding:
  • The Trinity as Love: God is a communion of persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—which is an eternal exchange of love.
  • Source of All Goodness: God's love is the source and cause of all true goodness and love in the world, as explained in this Christianity Stack Exchange post.
  • The Incarnation & Redemption: God showed his love by sending his Son to become human (Incarnation) to save humanity, which is considered a profound act of self-surrender.
  • Unconditional and Active Love: God’s love is described as "crazy love" or "effective love" that pursues sinners, reconciles them to Himself, and wills their ultimate good, according to this YouTube video and Catholic Answers Magazine.
  • St. Thomas Aquinas' Definition: The Church, following Aquinas, defines love as "to will the good of another".
  • Free Choice: While God's love is unconditional, Catholic teaching asserts that humans possess free will, allowing them to accept or reject this love.
The Catechism of the Catholic Church highlights that God is both truth and love, and His love is everlasting.

Catholicism teaches that God is the ultimate source of truth, reason, and order,

who's kidding who -

catholicism has throughout history been at the forefront of persecution and victimization of the innocent driven by their 4th century christian bible of their own making.

.

And martyred as recently as 1980.

Don't know the guy except he was a left wing activist. Already a strike against him.

Saint Óscar Romero (1917–1980) was the Archbishop of San Salvador who became a prominent,left-wing, and liberation theology-aligned voice for the poor against El Salvador's military dictatorship. Initially a conservative, he grew outspoken against human rights abuses, U.S. military aid, and state-sponsored violence before being assassinated while celebrating Mass on March 24, 1980.

Is there any historical evidence for the FSM?

Does the existence of 39K fakes prove that one is not real?

Hello....is that over your head?
There is no historical evidence for your god, sue. Sure, a man named jesus probably existed. That doesnt prove anything.
Egyptian pharaohs were seen as gods and we know they existed. Is that evidence they were gods?

This is gaslighting, dipshit. Do you need for me to explain it to you?
Thats what he is. I have the bible on my side. You have feelings. Pagan.

Go ahead and prove there is no God. You can use a null hypothesis or a negative correlation with a coefficient under 35. Put up or shut up
Atheism is a lack of belief, retarded boomer. Good lord

Throughout history there has been plenty of testimony, which is very much considered a form of evidence. You are seeking what is false. Seek the truth. I do imagine that you are seeking knowledge, battling those who seek God. Seeking knowledge does, eventually, lead to seeking God.
