Zone1 Another question to ponder.

But don't you lose all that when Jesus strips you of all sin?
Why would being stripped of sin cause one to lose knowledge and wisdom? Isn't the whole point of a spiritual being experiencing a material existence to gain knowledge of good and evil? Isn't that one of the first things discussed in Genesis?

I'll go one step further. All we truly own is our good name. Everything else can be taken from us. But when it comes to our good name, that's something we have to give away.

Does Jesus strip us of sin? Sin is an artifact of a material existence. Spirit has no need for sin.

But don't you believe it is logical that a materialist - someone who believes only in a material existence - has to believe that everything is pointless?
That's why I'm Agnostic, I'll find out when I get there if there is a there.

Remembering something you are proud of makes you guilty of pride.

So what you are saying is that you live your life assuming all that exists is the material world. Which brings me back to my point that people who believe all that exists is the material world must believe everything is pointless. Right?

Not necessarily. Pride in and of itself isn't a sin. How does remembering something you are proud of make it a sin?

Why must something have a point? Why cant it just be?
If god created the universe what was the point of all the other planets and suns? Black holes?

What about them? The universe and the laws of nature are exactly what they need to be to create beings that know and create.

But to your point, it absolutely can just be. Nothing wrong with that. I go through life letting it be and believing there is a point which gives meaning and purpose to my existence. The trick is to not have a preference for an outcome. That's what let it be means to me.

So you can absolutely go through life believing there is no point to existence or meaning or purpose. It's just not as rewarding as believing there is a point to existence and it's much harder to just let it be.

So if they were the only ones of god, why did the "omniscient" one create the rest of Earths population?
You are literally proving my point that God did not send a flood to destroy almost all of mankind.

It's just not as rewarding as believing there is a point to existence and it's much harder to just let it be.
Meh maybe. Dont know how much happier I would be if I knew there was a point.

I'd be willing to wager that you do behave as if there were a point and that you do behave as if there were meaning and that you do behave as if you have a purpose.

Because if you didn't, you would be miserable.

You would lose.
