This whole situation is weird. The State Trooper that the family claimed to have talked to about the incident in lieu of going to the police....is now in prison for 56 years convicted on child pornography charges.

Apparently when shit when down, the family talked to the trooper and then wrote down all the details of the incidents in a letter. They put the letter in a book and forgot about it. The book was lent out, the letter was found, someone read it, and called a hotline.

Josh Duggar has no juvenile record to be unsealed, because he was never charged. So let's put that bit of fiction to rest. What has been brought to light is the allegations against him, which he has confirmed.

Oprah reported the allegations, which one is required by law, in most cases, to do. As a victim of child sexual abuse, do you honestly think she would do otherwise. Oprah did not publicize the allegations, or make them public in any way. So there are no grounds for a lawsuit against her for anything.

The Duggars would never had have made full disclosure had someone not publicized these things first.

So who publicized the allegations? The release of a juveniles police report is illegal. Who turned it over to 'In Touch' broke the law. Their should be an investigation into how the info was released.

Chances are she did so in violation of Arkansas law.

I am not excusing it. It was a vile sin and I read his sisters were older with the youngest being five years old. I never heard about a baby being involved. Where were the parents? That is my question! The boy was 14 years old. He should not have been in charge of their care. Where were the parents?

I call rape what the bible calls rape - rape involves intercourse which is not what the story reported. It reported he touched them. He committed a terrible sin. Yes. And he repented of that sin and is forgiven. He has his own children and from all accounts has never done such a thing again which to me is a clear sign of his repentance.
