I know of a high school here in Los Angeles where the majority of students are young people from south of the border. There was an election for homecoming queen. The young scholars in charge of the election openly (and without shame) stuffed the ballot boxes in favor of one candidate. The cheaters were laughing about their coup. Some teachers knew about this matter, but they prudently kept their mouths shut. Just as the media in our country are keeping their mouths shut about the fraud that is happening in many of our states. Well, to address your actual thread title, I hope it teaches them not to unilaterally disarm by trying to play nice and polite when your opponent is fighting dirty. We are in this position because the Republican Party didn't have a complete set of testicles amongst them for most of my lifetime.

It's a damned shame. I've been voting for 30-some years now, and I've adjusted to the reality that voter fraud and political chicanery exist. Not that I don't still demand that we fight it, but it's not a shock to my system any more. Both of my adult children voted this year for the first time in their lives, and now they're watching in real time the vote being stolen from the electorate and made worthless. I don't know if Trump will be able to prevail electorally in the end or not. What I do know is that Trump has been very good at opening long-hidden, festering wounds to the light and air so they can heal, and I think he's going to do that for election fraud, finally and at long last. Whatever the outcome of this election, I have faith in Donald Trump's pugnacious nature that he will fight every one of these battles out in court, drag evidence out where everyone has to acknowledge it, and finally force our state governments to make meaningful reforms to election law, rather than just turning their heads and sidestepping around the issue.

77,000 votes across three states in 2016. That's what separated Trump from Clinton. Not even a 1% margin of victory. And after all the shock, tears, and disappointment that Trump won, I heard NO ONE on the Democrat side saying that election was "rigged", or that the vote was "tampered" with, or that ballots shouldn't be counted. I didn't hear any Democrat attempt to undermine belief in the integrity of the 2016 election in the run up to it. Every legitimate vote is being counted as per the rules of the individual state. That's the lesson children should be taking out of this. This is how a democracy works. On the other hand, you have Trump and his supporters throwing temper tantrums and tossing around threats and lawsuits. Great lesson to teach kids. Yell loud enough, threaten enough, and sue if you don't like the results.
