Watch this... Hey libs, do you have any examples of successful socialist countries? List them.

Go ahead, we are interested in hearing these wonderful successes.

Please, list the countries.
The US to a good degree. The government regulate everything and puts its nose in everything. They put everyone in their house and they are sending pennies to the. Citizens while awarding billions to those that play for their campaigns..

Well, I would think the bottom line for "success" would be the happiness of its citizens, so let's see what this survey says: Visit the Top 10 Happiest Countries in the World
  1. Denmark
  2. Switzerland
  3. Iceland
  4. Norway
  5. Finland
  6. Canada
  7. The Netherlands
  8. New Zealand
  9. Australia
  10. Sweden
And since it appears that "socialism" is whatever government spending exceeds military, I guess those would qualify as "socialist".

So I guess we need to specify definitions.
.
None of those countries practice socialism.
They think they do. Unbelievable brain wash with you people.
Socialism is where the government controls the means of production. They can think all they want but what they implement is big social programs paid for by capitalism. People like yourself aren't brainwashed, just plain ignorant.
So you think that we don't notice you guys screaming SOCIALISM whenever more government is advocated or utilized. As it is in those countries.

Go ahead and list the countries that you think are ACTUALLY socialist. We'll agree, they're lousy.

The rest, the social democratic countries listed above, are ACTUALLY the goal. Not Venezuela.

You guys just refuse to acknowledge that.

Great. Shit holes, no one wants to be like that.

The countries that I listed are what the Democratic Socialism folks are after.

I'm glad we have this all straightened out now.
You mean they are after capitalism with welfare programs?
Yes. Pretty much like what we have, just some more. That's not the socialism of Venezuela.

Now you guys no longer have to be confused. Cool!
I agree, but those countries are not Democratic Socialist countries either. Democratic Socialism is still socialism and is not practiced ANYWHERE on Earth. Democratic Socialism just has a better sounding name. Same result.

.
Socialism as understood by socialists is always Democratic Fair capitalism with a good safety nets. Communism is just for fear-mongering the ignorance. Nobody cares about communism anymore without a gun to their head.

You mean, right around the time that fat commie, Hugo Chaves took over and "nationalized" the country's #1 export industry, petroleum?

But, no....it had NOTHING at all to do with Fat Commie's theft. It's those damn Americans!!!
How did life expectancy and literacy rates fare under Chavez?

Analysis: How Chavez changed Venezuela

"Domestically, Mr Chavez's targets included the traditional political class with its strong ties to the US.

"To counter their influence in the media, President Chavez promoted state television and pressured the judiciary to restrict the influence of privately-owned means of communication.

"He also replaced technocrats in the state oil company (PDVSA) with loyal supporters.

"Venezuela became increasingly politicised, with the debate focusing on the role of President Chavez himself.

"To maintain political support, Mr Chavez expanded his social programmes using the income derived from high oil prices.

"Minimum wages were increased sharply and many Venezuelans were lifted out of poverty.

"Other social indicators, notably literacy, also improved and Mr Chavez and his political movement had little difficulty in defeating an opposition that was deeply divided and unable to adjust to the new Venezuelan realities."

Lift the criminal US sanctions on Venezuela, and the situation there improves markedly.

Do you think the left, like Mac (who prove to be racists), notice the only countries they ever list as socialist successes, that they only list countries with higher density of whites than this country?

Go back and look on the first page of the list of countries that racist Mac listed.

Was there even one that he listed that was a predominately BROWN OR YELLOW OR SOME OTHER COLOR COUNTRY?

That is the point. That is all they do. Next time they list the pastey white countries as examples of greatness, let them know what racist hypocritical scumbags they are.

Go ahead, we are interested in hearing these wonderful successes.

I don't know if I should call it successful, but USA under our current thug in chief is about socialist as it gets, he closed a rapid response pandemic unit that costed a couple of million dollars, for a re-distribution package of 2.2 trillion, from which our government won't recover a penny. In contrast Obamas stimulus package was 900 billion, fully recovered with interest, and in the process, saved world economy...

It's amazing how Trumpbots convolute Liberalism and democratic socialism with communist dictatorships.

First they declare any idea to the left of Mussolini as socialist, then they cite the failures of communist dictatorships to debunk those ideas.

Bait & switch much?

Actually, those who have escaped Communist countries and come to the US tend to be Republican because they are able to see that the obvious end result of liberal policies is Socialism into Communism, from which they escaped. It is liberals in this country that are far too ignorant and spoiled to recognize the correlation. I am beginning to think Liberals have an area of their brain that simply doesn't function at all.

I'm married to a person that was raised in the Soviet Union. Yes, your right in that most of my wife's family were fanatic Republicans when they first came here. But over the tears they changed dramatically. Now that they've seen what capitalism is really like, they're pretty middle of the road.

Coming from a country where no one got laid off, everyone had a place to live, everyone had a job, everyone had health care, everyone had free education, everyone had free child care, women had huge amounts of maternity leave and everyone had a decent retirement had it's benefits.

Now they live in a place where they can get laid off anytime, can become homeless, have to spend their life savings on healthcare, have to go into a mountain of debt to pay for college, have to pay an arm and a leg for child care and have a very, very uncertain retirement, makes the Soviet Union sound not as bad as they thought.
This is as bad as the u.s. gets.

Another one that needs an education.

You referring to the economic crash that was bipartisan that had little to nothing to do with any Bush policy and happened only after the democrats took control of Congress in 2007 and were kicked out of the House in 2010?

Before you say anything that unbelievably cliche and brainwashed crap that your pea brainwashed brain has regurgitated for over a decade, let me see if you have any ability to comment on these facts.

Why did the democrat controlled Congress deliberately ignore every warning put out by the White House?

Here, dick brain. Comment on these.

2007

  • August: President Bush emphatically calls on Congress to pass a reform package for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, saying "first things first when it comes to those two institutions. Congress needs to get them reformed, get them streamlined, get them focused, and then I will consider other options." (President George W. Bush, Press Conference, the White House, 8/9/07)

  • August: Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Chairman Christopher Dodd ignores the President's warnings and calls on him to "immediately reconsider his ill-advised" position. (Eric Dash, "Fannie Mae's Offer To Help Ease Credit Squeeze Is Rejected, As Critics Complain Of Opportunism," The New York Times, 8/11/07)

  • December: President Bush again warns Congress of the need to pass legislation reforming GSEs, saying "These institutions provide liquidity in the mortgage market that benefits millions of homeowners, and it is vital they operate safely and operate soundly. So I've called on Congress to pass legislation that strengthens independent regulation of the GSEs – and ensures they focus on their important housing mission. The GSE reform bill passed by the House earlier this year is a good start. But the Senate has not acted. And the United States Senate needs to pass this legislation soon." (President George W. Bush, Discusses Housing, the White House, 12/6/07)
2008

  • February: Assistant Treasury Secretary David Nason reiterates the urgency of reforms, saying "A new regulatory structure for the housing GSEs is essential if these entities are to continue to perform their public mission successfully." (David Nason, Testimony On Reforming GSE Regulation, Senate Committee On Banking, Housing And Urban Affairs, 2/7/08)

  • March: President Bush calls on Congress to take action and "move forward with reforms on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. They need to continue to modernize the FHA, as well as allow State housing agencies to issue tax-free bonds to homeowners to refinance their mortgages." (President George W. Bush, Remarks To The Economic Club Of New York, New York, NY, 3/14/08)

  • April: President Bush urges Congress to pass the much needed legislation and "modernize Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. [There are] constructive things Congress can do that will encourage the housing market to correct quickly by … helping people stay in their homes." (President George W. Bush, Meeting With Cabinet, the White House, 4/14/08)

  • May: President Bushissues several pleas to Congress to pass legislation reforming Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac before the situation deteriorates further.

    • "Americans are concerned about making their mortgage payments and keeping their homes. Yet Congress has failed to pass legislation I have repeatedly requested to modernize the Federal Housing Administration that will help more families stay in their homes, reform Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to ensure they focus on their housing mission, and allow state housing agencies to issue tax-free bonds to refinance sub-prime loans." (President George W. Bush, Radio Address, 5/3/08)

    • "[T]he government ought to be helping creditworthy people stay in their homes. And one way we can do that – and Congress is making progress on this – is the reform of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. That reform will come with a strong, independent regulator." (President George W. Bush, Meeting With The Secretary Of The Treasury, the White House, 5/19/08)

    • "Congress needs to pass legislation to modernize the Federal Housing Administration, reform Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to ensure they focus on their housing mission, and allow State housing agencies to issue tax-free bonds to refinance subprime loans." (President George W. Bush, Radio Address, 5/31/08)
  • June: As foreclosure rates continued to rise in the first quarter, the President once again asks Congress to take the necessary measures to address this challenge, saying "we need to pass legislation to reform Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac." (President George W. Bush, Remarks At Swearing In Ceremony For Secretary Of Housing And Urban Development, Washington, D.C., 6/6/08)

  • July: Congress heeds the President's call for action and passes reform legislation for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac as it becomes clear that the institutions are failing.

  • September: Democrats in Congress forget their previous objections to GSE reforms, as Senator Dodd questions "why weren't we doing more, why did we wait almost a year before there were any significant steps taken to try to deal with this problem? … I have a lot of questions about where was the administration over the last eight years." (Dawn Kopecki, "Fannie Mae, Freddie 'House Of Cards' Prompts Takeover," Bloomberg, 9/9/08)

While you are choking on your boyfriends fluids as you are pretending to read that while you ignore it you pathetic hypocrite, why don't you explain what happened when your beloved clinton rewrote the Community Reinvestment Act. You ignorant idiot.

Why don't you explain what happened when he signed the Commodity Futures Modernization Act which exempted default swaps from regulation?

You are a pathetic typical loser just blowing out chunks of shit out of your pathetic brain, as commie China has infected the fucking world.

You pathetic loser.

Oh, that's right, you're the guy who says this:
Sick of their shit and we should not hide it anymore. When they call me a fucking racist, and I say you damn right I am!!! Fuck those fucking people!

Pretty weak. You don't even have the balls to tag me when you post about me.

What an ugly, miserable, paranoid little life you have.

None. I say again....NONE of those countries are socialist.

They have socialist health care (where the government owns and controls the industry).

While I am one who supports a huge cut to defense spending, I would also like to note that 10 of those 10 countries rely heavily on U.S. military power for their security. Their defense mooching allows them to afford socialist health care.

.

Then the U.S. as to be awfully stupid to provide them with security while depriving ourselves of healthcare!

Yes, but we have homelessness, poverty and the highest incarceration rate in the world.

We also have lot's of political prisoners and a history of political assassinations.

And yes we have gulags as well...we call them prisons.

What you're talking about was during Stalin's reign...he was an absolute tyrant. Once Khrushchev came to power most of that ended.

It collapsed, dumbass.

Before it did they killed the strongest of their citizens off by the tens of milions, though.

Why don't you explain what happened when he signed the Commodity Futures Modernization Act which exempted default swaps from regulation?

You are a pathetic typical loser just blowing out chunks of shit out of your pathetic brain, as commie China has infected the fucking world.

You pathetic loser.
