Zone1 The Ten Commandments don't apply to us.

For all we know aliens created us. Claiming a miracle can justify anything. Thats BS
The story is an allegory the ark is metaphor. It never happened
so you are denying any and all divine miracles. OK. Not exactly a standard Jewish position, but you do you.

The point is that Christians cherry pick to their hearts' content. And you're proving that.

they prove they really have no remorse for their crimes and look forwards for the next one ... dishonesty found in their bibles is infectious but for the strongest who have learned better than join in the deceptions.

You should form a mob.

Responding to a specific statement of yours isn't cherry picking, it's selecting an appropriate answer.
;) Understand that when one person has a different perspective and comes to a different conclusion than another, the only way to "win" is to cry "Cherry picking!" You presented a fine discussion where discussion is the point, not "winning".

Thank you. :)

I choose the scripture that fits the discussion. This is a thread about the ten commandments, and I offered what Jesus said about them. The scripture I post is contrary to what you think scripture says. You fail to address it and try to cut and paste your way out of it. It's your interpretation of scripture vs Christ's knowledge of scripture. We don't have to wonder if the 10 commandments are eternal. Jesus tells us flat out. So again:

Romans 13:8 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself." Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore, love is the fulfillment of the law.

^ Using the above scripture, explain to us where Jesus went wrong concerning the 10 commandments. He said love trumps rules. You say stick with the rules. Convince us that Christ was wrong and you are right...
"The scripture I post is contrary to what you think scripture says. You fail to address it and try to cut and paste your way out of it"

So,... "Cutting & Pasting Scripture", is Wrong???? Whereas You taking Scripture & Twisting/Corrupting it, to fit Your Belief,.... Is Righteous & Good???? :auiqs.jpg:

In your delusional beliefs,.....
you fail to see that The Ten Commandments Covenant, is a Covenant of Love.

And that Covenant, per many, many Scriptures, is Eternal.

The Messiah upheld it, The Prophets upheld it, & The Torah Upheld it.

And, .... If One does not "Walk in Love" to & with Our Creator/Savior, and their Brothers Sisters,..... They will not enter The Kingdom of Heaven.

The ten commandments can be considered part of the "beggardly elements" of the law, in that they cannot convert the "inner man" to righteousness. As they do no harm to neighbor, they do little good as well.

This requires a discussion about 'law and grace'. While Jesus was alive Israel was under the law, as was he. That's why he told people to keep the commandments.
That said Jesus made some distinctions. He forgave the adulteress, who sinned out of weakness, but condemned the person who dishonored his parents, who sinned out of malice.
