Zone1 The Ten Commandments don't apply to us.

Length doesn't matter if there are no large waves.

Doesn't matter how long or hard the rain fell. The ark didn't move until the flood lifted it up. Widespread rain would quell any winds, so, no waves.
It was a STORM.

You have the Bible literally telling you it was a storm.

And the whole point of this topic, for me, is to show how Christians cherry pick, and you are cherry picking.

There's no indication that it was a "storm".
I'm not cherry picking. Just the opposite. I'm dissecting the story as written. You need it to be a storm so the ark wouldn't survive. The ark did survive, therefore it wasn't a "storm".

Yeah, except for the quote that says it was.

Genesis 7:11

"When Noah was 600 years old, on the seventeenth day of the second month, all the underground waters erupted from the earth, and the rain fell in mighty torrents from the sky."

What does "rain fell in mighty torrents" mean to you?

Or this from the Catholic Bible

"In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep burst forth, and the windows of the heavens were opened. "

Obviously it was a huge storm.

"The windows of heaven were opened" simply means that it rained. It is also an expression of a blessing i.e. "rain in due season". "The fountains of the deep" is not well understood. I believe it was likely an upwelling of the sea floor which caused the flood. The "deep" refers to the seas, not fountains springing up out of the ground as many believe.

Well, firstly it's obvious that the new living translation (the first one I quoted) took that to mean it ******* shitted it down with rain.

Literally, the window opened, the window that was stopping the rain, and now it was open, so there was nothing stopping the rain any more. So it shitted down.

As I said, you people cherry pick to your hearts' content.

Why would God "bless" with a torrential downpour?

Why would God destroy all animals when he is angry at humans?

And I don't see a "bless" anywhere in Genesis 7:11
Everything was corrupted. Even today sick animals are destroyed in their millions to eradicate disease. Lately it has been the bird flu resulting in millions of chickens and turkeys to be destroyed. It is certain that in Noah's day swine had overrun the land spreading disease into the soil itself.

Genesis 6:5

"When the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and all the imaginations of the thoughts of his heart were only evil continually,"

6:7

"Therefore the Lord said, I will destroy from the earth the man, whom I have created, from man to beast, to the creeping thing, and to the fowl of the heaven: for I repent that I have made them."

Seems he had a problem with "men", I can't find a problem with animals. Can you?

Man was corrupt morally, which would certainly have affected everything, animals and the earth. Look at how Monsanto is corrupting the earth with chemicals. If God punished Monsanto, would he not restore the earth?

Recall that Jesus didn't save those pigs that ran into the sea and drowned. The surrounding land was better off without them spreading disease.

You're avoiding talking about the topic. You're talking about "Monsanto" and "Jesus". They have nothing to do with Noah's Ark

Your cherry picking isn't going very well, is it?

I think you are cherry picking your arguments. I'm simply responding to each as you present them.

I've made most of my points about the flood, based on the narrative. However, there's still a lot to unpack.

You've made your points, and they're cherry picking at best.

And I'm showing everyone that Christian cherry pick like crazy.

Its an allegory. The earth was never destroyed we are all still here. The ark is metaphor and could never hold all the animals. Who cleans the poop

not all allegorical - their version is corrupt throughout is more correct ...

the heavenly reiteration, goal given a&e for their admission to the everlasting - the triumph of good vs evil - to acquire judgement if accomplished for admission for the free spirit to enter the everlasting.

nothing in regards to the three desert religions need for the grand purpose if so inclined.

Noahs ark isnt possible

was creation possible? Once we allow for miracles, why decide that one miracle could happen but another couldn't?
For all we know aliens created us. Claiming a miracle can justify anything. Thats BS
The story is an allegory the ark is metaphor. It never happened
