They clearly don’t understand basic finance and Econ. They also don’t elect themselves. Clearly the voters in Seattle are stupid. What am I missing?

Blazing Bagels, a 25-year-old Seattle-area bagel chain, permanently closed all five of its retail locations and filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. The sudden shutdown—which left employees laid off without notice or severance—followed the drastic decision to eliminate the brand's wholesale wing just months prior. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Looks like the real story is that the founder retired and left it to their daughter who ran it into the ground.

Seems like a common story.

Even if the tax wasn’t the direct cause of this bankruptcy, it contributes to the broader instability. It reinforces the sense that Washington is no longer a place where business owners can plan with confidence. It tells investors, operators, franchisees, and family-owned companies that the people running this state see them less as partners in prosperity and more as walking ATMs.

Rising labor costs, mounting regulatory pressure, and a cost of doing business that consistently ranks among the highest in the nation have squeezed margins for operators across the board in this state. And the state legislature’s recent passage of an income tax has added a new layer of financial uncertainty for business owners trying to plan ahead, and the full impact remains unclear.

Morons that think that minimum wage earners were heads of households in Seattle are part of the problem. Those jobs were for teens entering the workforce so that they could gain experience and work ethic. Now they don't exist and people wonder why teens are running amuck everywhere. SMFH. Is their an ignorant democrat gene?

They will vote based solely on emotions against whomever they have been told is racist or pro-American.
There is no logic, no reality no facts involved.

I actually know some democrats who are exactly like that to a "T".

They are, in the truest sense, civilization destroyers. Look at their cities.
If ever again a great, free society rises from the ashes they MUST include an insurmountable mechanism to rid society of that plague.

Speaking of democrats and voting......

I have a feeling that Californians are as sick of democrats as everyone else is.
But the Democrats have set up a "system" in CA that, like any clever and disgusting authoritarian, ensures they remain in power regardless of what the People want.

They have proven this over the decades time and time again by ignoring referendums and popularly chosen changes done through legal channels.

Basically Californians have ZERO say in the election process. That's what I believe. The very people who hide behind a ruse of "fair and transparent" elections are the very ones who steal them. A purge is needed. It has gone too far.

Name me a time in US history when businesses did not go out of business....

Like this one just did? Only when left wing politics get involved and make it impossible to stay open. When the government is the reason they shut down that’s not a market responding.

So ask yourself. Did the bagles suddenly become unsalable or did the government cause them to be not profitable to make?

Only one place filed for bankruptcy, and you think it is a cause to run around screaming how the sky is falling?

While there isn't an exact registry total, Washington has hundreds of bagel bakeries and cafes. The state averages about 7 bagel stores per 500,000 people, meaning the highest concentrations are in major metropolitan areas like Seattle, Tacoma, and Spokane. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]

We are discussing Seattle only.

You probably are not missing anything. Dems elect dumbasses for the same reasons Republicans elect dumbasses... lack of decent choices, marketing and political money.
