RIGHT--Herodotus---a Greek historian NAMED a mass of land which included what is today Israel and Part of Sinai and Gaza and part of Syria PALESTINA circa 500 BC The romans---after destroying what they called JUDEA in the second century AD---renamed the place PALESTINA. I have copies of historic documents here on my desk, one is the Mandate for Palestine from 1922, it contains this text:

There shall be included in this law provisions framed so as to facilitate the acquisition of Palestinian citizenship by Jews who take up their permanent residence in Palestine.

See? the word is in that document and does not refer to a Jew as is clear. This is from 1922 rather earlier that 1960. There are other examples too, earlier than that, would you like to see them?
