I picked up a E.G. "Bat" E-Tool today for $15.00 at a shop that got in a bunch of EG surplus.

These were made in the late 40s through the early 60s before they went to a folding version. They are very much like the E-Tools Germany used in WW-2 and like those they were sharpened on the front as well as one side.

Due to it's heft, handiness, and sharpened edges they made for a very effective close quarter weapon.

The "Bat" logo is found on the early examples. They were made the company Gustav Barthel, Dresden.

This company is known as a former manufacturer of kerosene lamps, in fact I have one with the same Bat logo on the fill cap.

I'll clean this one up, resharpen the edges and repaint it. I'm making up a gear storage box for my 4Runner and I will put it in there.
