that's a lapel mic worn on the inside, not outside.

and his adjusting it was probably getting on the nerves of whoever was monitoring it. likely a high $$$ that doesn't make a lot of side noise but i imagine there was some coverage on it to reduce noise. there's no way to have a lapel mic feed into your ear. it's a listening device, not a speaker.

If Rump is trying to get reelected on that platform, he'd better have his bags packed and the Uhaul in the driveway.
