"Duty" is not "love". Neither is "ethics". You don't have to "love" an action you take because it's the ethical thing to do; you do it because it's ethical. You don't do your duty because you "love" it--- sometimes you may actually hate it. You do it because it's your duty.

"Love" is irrelevant to these. As it is to governing -- or for that matter doing most jobs that aren't volunteer positions.

Can't you see the connection with Parental Love here?

What happened to love of duty as a soldier, as an expression of love of country?
Does that mean ANYTHING to you?

What about when love of duty as Father or Mother shows in including ALL the children.

What if you have a Father who has 10 children and then marries a woman who adds her 10 children to make one family.
Wouldn't you expect him to treat them all inclusively and equally to show love, and yes that INCLUDES through fatherly duty.

What if the 10 kids from his side of the family want to focus the budget on eating Mexican food,
and the 10 kids from the other side want to focus on Mediterranean food.

What if he charges ALL the kids to chip in to pay for Mexican food, and if they don't pay, they get their allowance docked to go into Mexican food anyway. But if the kids who want to invest their allowance into Mediterranean food, they have to pay for this *themselves* and STILL get docked from their allowance to pay for the other Mexican food. They are not allowed equal choice to pay for the food of their preference. And when they complain they are excluded, they get blamed for this.

Don't you see that this isn't showing equal attention and care to ALL the children?
Wouldn't the average person feel unloved or even hated?

Wouldn't you see how people would feel left out, and that this is not only NEGLECT
but DISDAIN for their interests, and deliberate DISCRIMINATION to undercut their ability to pay for their interests.

Worse, what if you have a school district that is run by a Hindu Principal
and half the district is Hindu and half is Muslim. the Principal claims to love all the students equally.
But when it comes to the policies, the Principal keeps adopting Hindu beliefs and practices and excluding the Muslims. And even with the cafeteria food, the Principal bans beef and requires pork as the only meat they will pay for. The Muslims say this is against their beliefs, but the Principal ignores that as not an issue, and runs around receiving cheers and applause and adoration of the Hindu students. And blames the Muslim students for complaining the Principal is biased towards Hindus, claims it is "obstruction for power" and nothing to do with beliefs.

Are you really going to say that Principal loves the students equally?

the minorities to manage their own schools and communities and quit relying on liberal politics and govt for

The fact is all those people who some in this thread want to disdain have the same number of votes as you do --1 and the fact the 49% feel the way they do is significant. Obama has not helped by teaching people that one pass through Congress and Courts
makes a bill PERMANENT on the same level as the "law of the land."

That's what my coworkers thought. They thought you can't change the law after that
because Obama declared it the law of the land, on the same level of the Constitution.

And they took that LITERALLY. They really feel they have no power to change or
challenge anything but depend on parties or elected leaders to pass "any law they want to."
So of course they depend on Obama since they don't relate to anyone else in these parties. And they think THAT is what decides government, instead of relying on the Constitution as the standards. They never even read it and was told "by Obama supporters" that it no longer applies to today because it is outdated.

Here is a Rassmussen poll that shows that 35% of Americans agrees with Rudy that Obama doesn't love his country (to be clear we are now referring to the USA, not Kenya or Indonesia) and 14% aren't sure -- so almost half the country doesn't believe that Obama loves America. Those are BAD numbers for the President but totally predictable. And it also shows that Rudy was speaking for a lot of people

And before people start screaming about a Rasmussen poll, remember even if you want to assume it skews a bit to the right - they don't but fine - even at a combined 45% that's a disaster. And FWIW Obama for months has been doing better in Rassmussen's daily presidential approval poll than any other poll
