my question is if Jesus is god...who was god praying to in the garden?..um, who exactly is jehovah, what did he witness and why would he be god who knows everything and does not need any witness, yet alone man........makes zero logical sense
who was the witness? are they credible at all, zero proof thus it's fiction unless proven otherwise
This video presents good evidence that Jehovah is Jesus:
Jesus teaches that he was praying to his Father and our Father in heaven. The understanding is that God consists of a godhead of 3 beings, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. The Old Testament teaches us the following:my question is if Jesus is god...who was god praying to in the garden?..
Jehovah is Jesus
The Poor Essene Monk .
He clearly said himself this was untrue .

if there is only one god and some say it was jesus then he would not be praying to anyone....some of you seem to be saying he was praying to himself....there is either one god or more than one....cant have both....Jesus teaches that he was praying to his Father and our Father in heaven. The understanding is that God consists of a godhead of 3 beings, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. The Old Testament teaches us the following:
Exodus 6:2-3
2 And God spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I am the Lord:
3 And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name Jehovah was I not known to them.
Then in the New Testament we learn the following:
John 1:1-3, 14,18
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
Verse 1 tells us that in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God the Father and the Word was also God. Verse 2 reiterates that the Word was in the beginning with God the Father. We then learn in verse 3 that it was through the Word that all things were made that were made. In verse 14 we learn that the Word is Jesus Christ, the only begotten son of the Father in the Flesh. In verse 18 we learn that no at that time had seen God the Father. The Only Begotten Son had declared him. If at that time no man had seen God the Father, one must ask who it was that appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob by the name of God Almighty and whose name was also Jehovah as mentioned in Exodus 6:2-3 as mentioned above. We also learn that the God who spoke to Moses was called I AM.
Exodus 3:14
14 And God said unto Moses, I Am That I Am: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I Am hath sent me unto you.
Jesus in a conversation with the Jews said:
John 8:56-59
56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.
57 Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?
58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
59 Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
Here Jesus declares himself to be I AM. The Jews then took up stones to stone Jesus for blasphemy because he said he was the Great I AM. If according to John 1:18 no man had seen God the Father, then who was it that appeared before Abraham, Isaac and Jacob? Was it not God the Son who was a member of the godhead and whose name was Jehovah? Jesus certainly taught that it was he who appeared before Moses and declared himself to be I AM. Jehovah is Jesus.
Well, if you read the Bible you will understand that Jesus has a Father in Heaven who is God, but also has taken his Son Jesus and has made him part of the godhead. Thus the Father and the Son are one in purpose and glory in the godhead and constitute a single God. The godhead also includes the Holy Ghost. The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost constitute one God in purpose and glory. Jesus prayed to his Father while he was on this earth.if there is only one god and some say it was jesus then he would not be praying to anyone....some of you seem to be saying he was praying to himself....there is either one god or more than one....cant have both....
i have read the bible....there is one god and Jesus aint him....im sure he would tell you that... god doesnt have to pray to anyone...but Jesus does...Well, if you read the Bible you will understand that Jesus has a Father in Heaven who is God, but also has taken his Son Jesus and has made him part of the godhead. Thus the Father and the Son are one in purpose and glory in the godhead and constitute a single God. The godhead also includes the Holy Ghost. The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost constitute one God in purpose and glory. Jesus prayed to his Father while he was on this earth.
John 1:1-3, 14
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
In this verse we read that the Word was God and that the Word was with God. Thus God consists of more than one being. The Word according to verse 14 was the only begotten of the Father who is Jesus Christ. The God he was with in the beginning was the Father. Thus according to verse 1, the Father was the God that the Word was with and the Word was also God. According to verse 14, Jesus was the Word. Thus both the Father and the Son were God.
Colossians 2:9
9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
Acts 17:29
29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.
Yes the Father= Jehovah is the only true God= the one who sent Jesus-John 17:3--The mislead refuse to believe Jesus.if there is only one god and some say it was jesus then he would not be praying to anyone....some of you seem to be saying he was praying to himself....there is either one god or more than one....cant have both....
Read John 1:1,14 again and also Hebrews 1:5,8. Here they are so you don't have to look them up:i have read the bible....there is one god and Jesus aint him....im sure he would tell you that... god doesnt have to pray to anyone...but Jesus does...
Read post #10 again. If John 1:18 tells us that no man had seen God the Father at any time, then who was it that appeared to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Moses? According to Exodus 6:2-3, the God who appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob was named Jehovah. If John 1:18 is correct and no man hath seen the Father, who then was it that appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob whose name was Jehovah?Yes the Father= Jehovah is the only true God= the one who sent Jesus-John 17:3--The mislead refuse to believe Jesus.
thats your interpretation.....Read John 1:1,14 again and also Hebrews 1:5,8. Here they are so you don't have to look them up:
John 1:1
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
According to John 1:14 Jesus is the Word and thus Jesus is God.
Hebrews 1:5,8
5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?
8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
Here we have the Father calling the Son, God. Not much clearer than that.
Is it not possible that the Father may also be named Jehovah. Scripture is clear that Jesus is Jehovah but could not the Father also be named Jehovah? The Apostle Paul taught that it was Christ who was with the children of Israel during the exodus. The darkness teaches Jehovah is Jesus
Psalm 110:1=Matt 22:44 in a real bible= The utterance of Jehovah to my Lord( Jesus) sit at my right hand until i make your enemies as a stool for your feet=100% proof he is not Jehovah.
One CANNOT sit at their own right hand.
Now all who care about life everlasting can see clearly how the altered translations( the removal of Gods name, replaced with GOD or LORD all capitols)=MISLEAD one to lose.
