So either she made a mistake (in which case you were unforgiving) or she wasn't into the relationship as much as you were. Until you put a ring on it, she's not a possession.
Oh I did not break up with her. She broke up with me and it was her making the mistake.
She told me she was pregnant and I told her how much i loved her. She vanished to San Francisco where got an abortion. She had the nerve to take a man with her to visit my sister.

And, no, he certainly deserves a lot of the blame in the housing was the only bright spot in his otherwise dismal economy, so he did relatively little to curb a runaway market or reign in the bad behavior of the banks selling mortgages as inflated investments. The existing laws were sufficient to curb the bad behavior.
Joe, I really am the forum expert on this problem. Bush warned Congress over and over to change some laws. Democrats blocked Bush every time he told them.
Fannie Mae and Freddie Mack and not the banks were the major reasons for the crash. The Congress under Democrats were told to end the GSE problems and they gave Bush the finger. I posted the proof earlier that Congressional Democrats gave the finger to Bush.

Actually, I was having a discussion with a Jew. If you would take trolling ass back to beginning and read, You would see that.
But you told a poster to discuss it with a Jew. Why don't you like Jews?

Are the forum discussions you participate in your private notes?

WOW, my children know what drives me as I am honest with the two daughters.
He's my biological dad. My real dad is my stepdad. I rarely ever got a call or a card from him on my birthday.

It is both for us. We are no longer speaking to some family members and definitely have several former friends due major political view disagreements.

How about you?
There is no way politics should ever divide family.

Things come and go, but family is forever.

Believe me, I do understand since you and I have the same paternal experience.
My genuine paternal dad was an asshole Democrat. He never called me nor sent me any presents or cards for any occasion.

You can’t choose family. You’re stuck with em
Make the most of it.

I get that sometimes, it's beyond hope.

But I would never argue or fight about politics to the point it severed a relationship.

I neither argue nor fight. I just Avoid them.

Bush did everything he could do to keep the crash from happening Joe. I am the expert on this topic. Bush could just ask Congress to cure it to keep it from happening. Democrats said to him he was lying and the market would not crash.

Um, actually, he didn't do nearly enough. Freddie and Fannie weren't the problem, it was the private banks.

I worked with a Supply NCO Joe. I also was the Company Clerk under the CO who was a black Captain. I admired him at the time so much. I was then a loyal Democrat who was loyal to Kennedy. I bought a Studebaker Golden Hawk from our Supply NCO in fact.
Very nice. Not at all relevant, but nice.

Has it occurred to you that your industry was a large part of the problem? At the end of the day, the banks wrote bad loans, and the government let them do it, but there had to be a point where the realtors said, "Hey, this person isn't a good risk for home ownership."

I compare the process I went through to get a VA loan in 2004 and the process I went through to get a conventional mortgage in 2021. Night and Day. Even though I was in far better economic shape in 2021, they still asked a lot more questions and scrutinized a lot more of my finances.

Laws are wonderful, but good judgment is better.
