The Supreme Court and the "politics" of birthright citizenship and of course changing tunes of history.

Don't care.

The Founding Slave Rapists didn't write the 14th.
The 14th was necessary to fix their initial screwup of allowing slavery to start with.

The point is, they didn't specifically exclude children of immigrants.
Yea idk why I said founders.

Sure there's a difference. Legal immigration requires too much time and too much money.

So far, to get my wife sponsored for permanent residency, I've had to file 250 pages of documentation and pay $3350.00 in legal and filing fees.

This is on top of the seven years she languished in the Asylum application with no action being taken on her case, despite her situation being one the US has railed about for decades (the mistreatment of Christians in China).

That's why I want to SCREAM whenever I hear any idiot talk about "legal" immigration.
Boo ******* hoo. That's the procedure.

I-N-T-E-N-T.
We know that doesnt include ambassadors children. How do we know that? Because that was debated. We know the meaning of the amendment. We just choose to ignore certain parts of it.
Agreed. They are not under jurisdiction due to ratified treaties.

I believe the 14th amendment was instituted to make sure children of slaves would be citizens after abolition. Over the years it has been twisted to mean any child born of an alien woman within or borders is automatically a citizen. Makes no sense really.

No, your belief is wrong in the 14th. SCOTUS will reject the President 8-1 or 7-2. The great majority of the country opposes his E. O.

So you oppose law and order? Good to know.

I oppose stupid and mean-spirited laws.

Just like you do when you complain about gun regulations that you don't like and are probably ignoring.

I think that if we funded ATF the way we fund ICE and gave them a mandate to go after gun violators the way we are going after undocumented immigrants, you'd be screaming bloody murder.

Not twisted. That is what the 14th Amendment says as written.

Actually, it made a lot of sense, when you had a country that wanted immigration. Even before the 14th Amendment, children of immigrants were considered citizens if they were born here. The 14th just codified what was already being done.
