Could you survive without a Cellphone ?

If you pay bills you need a PC-phone & internet. I had no worhing PC during Obiden 1.0 and I would go to the CA public library to use the PC and $0.15 per page if I needed a print (taxes). USB stick was handy.

I love the convenience of technology. At my last doctor visit, I received my lab test results before the doctor came back. I saw them before she did.

Some of us can remember a time when cell phones did not exist. Somehow we managed.
Today it seems a cellphone has replaced the brain stem and people would die without one.

Scammers have found a great friend in cell phones racking up Billions a year in profits from phone scams.
Cellphones have been drastically crippled due to the sheer number of spam calls made everyday.
Governments now use cellphones to track your movements and listen in on your conversations.

But "what if", a significant number of people gave up cellphones?
How would that affect things? I think it would nearly decapitate government efforts to spy on citizens.

It will never happen because humans are flawed and would rather have fingers cut off than lose their phones regardless of any consequences or government intrusion.
How about YOU? Could you make do without a cellphone? It seems there is a quiet but growing number of people considering this.
