I had to shut down my sister in law at a family gathering this weekend when a political commercial came on during football. "We dont do politics at family gatherings you know that" - I said. She responded "I know but I hate Kamala". Me: "That's for Facebook dear, not family".

She didnt say anything else political. Its pretty easy to navigate. I mean I dont sit around and debate who's God is the real God with my friends of other religions. Just tacky.

Well then, “isolate” is too strong a word. I’d say it’s more a case of being polite when I see them, but not doing anything to maintain the friendship. That’s because I want friends who are not gullible or ignorant - and that is who is voting for Kamala.

The only people I would isolate myself from, in addition to the nasty idiots who scream at me (or Mom) are the Jews who say their liberal policies are more important than the survival of Israel - or worse, actually take the enemy’s side and march with the pro-HAMAS protestors.

Politics and religion divide, so I don't speak my beliefs to family or friends, and I don't ask for theirs. In general chat with my two boys, I will simply give them examples from the past if they ask about politics, my political knowledge is from Thatcher onwards.
