No. It really isn't. If you take care of yourself, life is long. Be careful of the bridged you burn, as politics changes.

As do the politicians, which is why I became apathetic about politics in general long ago, and have been much happier since tuning out the noise on both sides of the aisle.

The same politicians that people become unhinged zealots in support of today, will get book deals and speaking engagements when their careers are over and ride off into the sunset, in some cases a lot more wealthy than they were when they took office.

It's nothing but a business to them, and they won't be there to repair the broken family relationships and lost friendships that their influence had on those who supported them unconditionally.

Yes, but not by choice. A family member (a liberal, shock) disagreed with us about Covid precautions and has not been part of the family since.

Not really a friend - more of an acquaintance - but someone I know has participated in pro-Palestinian rallies. And she’s Jewish. She told me I am not allowed to say anything about it to her, and I cut her off. My choice.
