Yep, that is ONE of many areas that talks about prayer, here's the passage:

It is vitally important to take Scripture IN CONTEXT, in context with the surrounding verses, within the chapter, within the particular book, and then within the context of what the entire Bible says.
You should NEVER read anything, any book, pamphlet, tract or magazine OUT OF CONTEXT.

I have read and studied through the entire Bible cover to cover 67 times since August 14th, 1976, and am doing so again.

I too was brought up Southern Baptist, at age 12 I went from passively saying no to The Lord Jesus Christ to outright hatred of The Lord Jesus Christ. We moved a lot, and I saw a lot of hypocrisy in the churches my dad was the pastor at. At age 12 I began smoking 4 packs a day, drinking beer and hard liquor when I could get my hands on it; I got into vandalism, theft, was in fights everyday, got into porn and Satanism. From age 12 to age 17 when I surrendered and gave my heart and life to The Lord Jesus Christ I was filed with hate, I cursed God and told God I hated HIM, hated Jesus HIS Son, hated Christians and told God to go to H*ll.
But GOD had other plans for me and never gave up on me. On August 14th, 1976, at an Assembly of God tent revival I gave my heart to The Lord Jesus Christ and I've NEVER looked back.
I am NOT perfect. NOT even close.
I AM forgiven, and I am much better now than I was when I was in rebellion and sin.
I have grown in The Lord, and have much more growing to do.
It is NOT about me- IT'S ALL ABOUT JESUS.

And the reason I posted this in the Religion Forum was because I thought Christians would be interested to see this.

Reverends help people all the time, so do preachers, ministers, etc. I believe shrinks cause more problems than they solve.

I believe in and have helped quite a few over the years. I am a Christian Counsellor as well as a Bible Teacher, Worship Leader and Preacher. The Lord Jesus Christ is my soul model, The Bible is my Supreme and Final Source, and Prayer is my main tool/weapon.
I believe in listening, asking questions, THEN presenting help, facts, quotes, evidence as needed and as the person/people are open to it. I do NOT believe in forcing facts or truth on anyone. I WILL present them, and even do so with passion, but in the final analysis it is up to each person to decide IF they really want help.

Do you believe in Predestination?
That, if you are a baby and die, if you are NOT predestined to be saved, you go to hell?

I believe that God predestines ALL to go to heaven, II Peter 2:9...but we all choose whether to submit to God or Rebel, Deuteronomy 30:15-20. ULTIMATELY ALL WILL BOW BEFORE THE SOVEREIGN WILL OF ALMIGHTY GOD...SOME OUT OF LOVE AND REPENTANCE, others out of the shear fear of God on Judgment Day, Revelation chpts. 20 & 21.

you have be absolved of that sin in order to go to heaven.
how does a newborn get absolved of the original sin they are born with?

God is a LOVE.
God is a loving, merciful and gracious God, not an unholy, hateful tyrant.
A baby until it reaches the age of knowing right and wrong upon death goes to heaven...God does not damn anyone who is not able to even understand the choice.

Predestination and free will are a little in conflict with each other as concepts. Original sin applies to everyone, which is why some like infant baptism. Must believe in Jesus Christ and be baptized.

An infant can not believe in Jesus.

NOR can an infant understand repentance, sin or that they need to choose The Lord Jesus Christ...they're an infant.

God IS LOVE and does not damn anyone who doesn't even understand that there is a choice to be made.

It is NOT a "superiority" issue, it's simple logic and reason. NO two (or more) differing views can be true. Either neither is true. Or one IS true, and the others are not. It's simple: 2+2=4...it CAN NOT also =5, 8. 1, 2.
