Federal Aviation Administration seeks employment candidates with "severe intellectual" disabilities, psychiatric problems and other mental conditions

Nope. Even a paperwork error could trickle down to disaster. I'm not saying that a sane person couldn't make a mistake. What I am saying is that a mentally challenged person would be more likely to make these kind of mistakes.
Make some sense.

So, what should happen to these people? Should the Govt just take care of them their whole lives? Should we just let them starve and die since none of them deserve a job according to you since they might make a mistake.

Do what I did. Take care of them. That's what I did with my sister-in-law until she passed 16 years ago. Are you familiar with the word "family"?
Your reply will be "what if they have no family?"
And I'll say "OK, employ them, but not in safety sensitive organizations."
Now, please, go eat some breakfast.

I accept your surrender

Great news for Boing. A couple more retarded engineers and QC people will assure us that another door never flies off of another plane. I'll sleep better. MAGA

It was those at the top that decided that.

Former Boeing manager says he warned company of problems prior to 737 crashes

Boeing's problem existed because those at the top cared more about "shareholder value" than safety.

Some guy cleaning the offices at the FAA is not going to cause the problems greedy CEO's will.

How much human safety is in play in someone being an HR clerk? Or a contracting specialist?

Also, psychiatric disabilities include things like PTSD and eating disorders.

Will they have access to the sensitive areas?

By entering the facilities they will already be penetrating one layer of the security.

I assume they will work in a Fed Building like most Fed Employees.

And? Is a Vet with PTSD that big of a threat in your mind?

Is allowing someone with mental issues access to a facility that controls air traffic a good idea?

Some places need to be controlled, and this is giving up a layer of that control, even if they just do it for a janitor or a file clerk is a risk.

A person working in an office in a Fed building is not accessing a facility that controls air traffic. The FAA has more than just ATC people. They have HR, they have contracting specialist and more. These people would be no where near an ATC facility

Those can be based in an ATC facility.

Would you think restricting them from not entering those facilities would be prudent?

or would we be hurting someone's feelings?
