Are we getting the leaders we deserve?

Are we getting the leaders we deserve?

Here is an article trying to come to terms with the circus of an election year. The attempt is to blame the press.

Who agrees?

Yes we do.

The chaos today is a result of Obama's yesterday's and the complete stupidity from those who elected him twice. They have ruined our nation as we knew it

I can tell by the tone in article that the author is a bipartisan hack. Here is a taste.

"At this time in 1987, Hart was rather like the Hillary Clinton of his day, only more talented and more visionary; he had been the presumed nominee of the Democratic Party since narrowly losing in 1984, and the Gallup Poll had him beating George H.W. Bush — then the sitting vice president — by double digits. A man of staggering intellect, he was talking even then about the rise of stateless terrorism and the arrival of a high-tech economy."

Mrs. Benghazi and Mrs. "I'll vote to go into Iraq" is a visionary? LOL. The left is doing everything in its power to try and lay blame for the problems in the world, at the doorstep of anything or anyone but themselves. They are now trying to blame the press for going after Gary Harts infidelity story. It's as if infidelity does not matter and not important.

Who agrees?

Good people DON'T get into politics. The worst among us get into politics. That has been the case for decades.

Looking down the road...Trump, Shrillary, Cruz, Bernie....the voters decide....or the electoral College does...either way, it's what we asked for. Karma, go figure.

If you're going to drive in your rear view mirror, look at Shrub still in the ditch.

Well look at the likes of Thomas Jefferson and Ben Franklin. Both seemed to have been womanizers.

Should we give much consideration to these things?

Glenn Beck, and other like him, have said that they will drop Cruz in a heart beat if it is proved that he was unfaithful to his wife.

Newt was fucking another woman while his wife was dying of cancer, at the same time he was impeaching Bubba for a blow job.

We get what they tell us we get.
That's what happens when you have a "representative republic" instead of democracy.

But a democracy only works if the voters are informed.

By all account, they are not. They are merely prodded on who to vote for by such entities as the press, higher education, etc. For example, most people think that Sarah Palin thought she could see Russia from her front porch. This was taken from an SNL skit. She never said it. Most don't know much else about her.

In ancient Greece, those who voted owned slaves. That way they could study the issues and debate them and cast an informed vote. However, today the slaves are allowed to vote, but are essentially told who to vote for by their slave masters.

It used to be that the press would hide such infidelities, like with JFK.

No one in recorded history has ever been charged with "getting a BJ." Is that even on the books? Maybe a blue sodomy law?

NO!! that is what we get when the media runs this country rather than "we the people", there is nothing wrong with our "representative republic" IF we can keep the media under control.

democracy is nothing but mob rule, which is what we are experiencing right now!!

So should "good" people get into politics or is that not possible for them to succeed?

Ben Carson comes to mind. The poor soul looked like a deer caught in head lights through the whole political process. He then later endorsed a man who once compared him to a pedophile in order to obtain votes from him.

Very bizarre.

The whole premise of a "republic" is that direct democracy is dangerous. The Founding fathers were very much worried about a direct democracy.

Should they have been?

I think there are millions of us who have worked hard all our lives, kept ourselves out of trouble, raised good families who are doing the same. We deserve leaders who want to make America great again.

Considering that we have Trump, Cruz, and Hillary as candidates....yeah.
