After TWO MONTHS, NC hurricane victims are still living in tents and renting porta-pots with no help from FEMA.

Socialism! Its not in the Constitution.
No, it's not. Neither is the IRS, but that didn't stop the government from doing it. Might as well get back a little of what was forcibly confiscated in the first place. That is how socialism works, after all, forcibly taking what people earn.

Those damn Founding Fathers and their socialism

FEMA will get a much needed "clean-up" when President Trump takes office. This is beyond disgraceful. They have failed the American people for long enough..
That's not exactly how things work here. What will really happen is there will be a lot of Congressional role playing and posturing, a few fema people will retire early with a nice separation package, a study will reveal that FEMA needs to double their budget to meet their goals, and gooberment will be saved. The same for the DOJ, DEA, CIA, DOD, you name it. Also, they will still be living in leantos in NC and Florida, and the deficit and inflation will continue to climb.

Correct me if I'm wrong ... but folks WITH flood insurance are getting paid ... it's the folks who don't have insurance who needs FREE MONEY from the government ...

MAGA Mike Johnson didn't allow any funding bills into the House ... no money for FEMA until he does ...

Get flood insurance if you're subject to flooding hurricanes ... is that beyond what a North Carolina High School Graduate can understand? ...

Flood insurance is no longer available in some areas...too many floods.

But it's okay for FEMA to pay to rebuild ... it's only every ten years ... why be so unreasonable? ...

C'mon ... Mr & Mrs. Tax-Payor ... Dixie needs your money again ... it ain't a house iffn it ain't agaist a creek ... you-uns ...

=====

I say "PAY" ... we're way overdue for a 100-year event in my community ...

FEMA doesn't rebuild anything.

I think you need to rethink that, it doesn't make sense. FEMA is not an insurance agency, they are supposed to take emergency claims on a need basis, and not rebuilding. Where do you get this stuff? Oh, and you're supposed to be a citizen too, so maybe they're flexible. Eligibility Criteria for FEMA Assistance

Why are morons in here pretending there aren’t federal aid programs for major disasters?

FEMA had been depleted of funds by Briben buying illegal votes and could not perform recovery work so to pass the time they forbade and interfered with others who tried to assist

FEMA isn't insurance ... it's welfare ... just like welfare, it's based on need ... insurance is based on want ...

I have fire insurance, if a fire or windy storm or earthquake were to destroy my home ... I get a check to cover my losses ... however, I don't have flood insurance so if my house floods, I won't get a penny from insurance ... I'd have to rely on charity ...

Republicans aren't very charitable, to that's why North Carolina is still not getting enough welfare money ...

"[Mike] Johnson told Fox News Sunday's Shannon Bream that lawmakers will be "back in session immediately after the election" to provide any funding needs for states hit hardest by the Category 4 storm that made its way through the southeastern United States late last month." -- Newsweek -- Oct 6th, 2024

Nice going MAGA Mike Johnson ... still no relief money ... tightwads ...
