BREAKING: E-mails Show Lois Lerner Intentionally Sought to Hide Information from Cong

Hey at least most Republicans were willing to Impeach Nixon over his awful abuses of power. And that's why he resigned. But today's Democrats are shameful 'Party before Country' douchebags. Clearly, Obama targeted his political opponents with IRS attacks. He should be Impeached. Period, end of story.

Yes, most cowardly criminals talk when they know they're going away for a long time. She should be arrested immediately.
You really do live in that Ayn Rand Fantasyland. If they had anything to charge her with, they already would have.

Who would have? Holder's Justice Dept? The same one that appointed an Obama contributor to oversee the investigation? Gimmeabreak!

Darrell Issa can request charges brought against her since he's the head of the oversight committee. The guy really is on a witch hunt for some reason. Maybe it's a way of deflecting everyone from his own sordid past?

Early life, education, and military service
Issa, the second of six children, was born in Cleveland, Ohio, to Martha (née Bielfelt) and William Issa, who sold trucks and ground valves.[8][9] His father was Eastern Orthodox and his mother was a Mormon.[10] His paternal grandparents were Lebanese immigrants who both belonged to the Greek Orthodox Church of Antioch, also known as “Antiochian Orthodox”,[11] and his mother is of German and Bohemian (Czech) descent.[12][13]

The family moved to the predominantly Jewish suburb of Cleveland Heights in the later years of his childhood. Many of his friends were Jewish, and Issa reportedly worked for a rabbi at one point. He became very familiar with Jewish culture.[10]

On his 17th birthday, he dropped out of high school and enlisted for three years in the Army.[10][14] He became an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) technician, trained to defuse bombs, claiming his unit provided security for President Richard Nixon, sweeping stadiums for bombs prior to games in the 1971 World Series.[15] A May 1998 investigation by Lance Williams of the San Francisco Examiner said Nixon had not attended any of that year's World Series games. Issa's unit did perform security sweeps for the World Series. The investigation revealed that after the World Series Issa was transferred to a supply depot after receiving poor ratings. According to Issa, the Examiner reporter misunderstood an anecdote he had related.[10] A fellow soldier, Jay Bergey, claimed Issa stole his Dodge Charger in 1971, and that "I confronted Issa ... I got in his face and threatened to kill him, and magically my car reappeared the next day, abandoned on the turnpike." No charges were ever filed. Issa has denied any theft.[10]

After receiving a hardship discharge in 1972 after his father suffered a heart attack, Issa earned a General Educational Development (GED) certificate.[10]

Twice that year, he was arrested. In the first incident he was indicted by a grand jury for an alleged theft of a Maserati, but prosecutors dropped the charge.[16] In the second incident, he was stopped for driving the wrong way on a one-way street, and a police officer noticed a firearm in his glove compartment. Issa was charged with carrying a concealed weapon.
He pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of an unregistered firearm, and was sentenced to six months' probation and a small fine.[16] Issa has said he believes the record has since been expunged.[10]

Issa attended Siena Heights University, a small Roman Catholic college in Adrian, Michigan, followed by Kent State University at Stark, where he enrolled in the Reserve Officer Training Corps and was commissioned as a second lieutenant.[10] He served in the Army Reserve from 1976 to 1980 and was promoted to the rank of captain. While serving on active duty for training with the 1/77th Armor Battalion as an Assistant S-1 from September 9 to 26, 1980, he received an evaluation report by then-Lt. Col. Wesley Clark, who wrote "This officer's performance far exceeded that of any other reserve officer who has worked in the battalion" and "Promote ahead of contemporaries. Unlimited potential."[10][17][18]

Shortly before his discharge in 1980, Issa was again indicted for grand theft auto. According to court documents, his brother, William Issa, had gone to a used car dealer and offered to sell his brother's car, a 1976 Mercedes sedan, while impersonating his brother. With an Ohio driver's license belonging to Darrell, William was given $16,000 for the car from the dealer. Shortly after the sale, Darrell reported the car stolen and told the police that he had left the title in the trunk. During the investigation Darrell reportedly gave conflicting statements as to whether or not he had recently obtained a replacement driver's license.[citation needed] The brothers were indicted for grand theft. Darrell claimed he had no knowledge of his brother's impersonation and sale, while William claimed that his brother had authorized him to sell the car.

As the investigation continued, Darrell went to the dealership the car was sold to and repurchased his car. A few months later, investigators dropped the charges against him. In 1981 in Cleveland, Darrell Issa crashed a truck he was driving into another motorist's car and, according to court records, Issa told her that he did not have time to wait for the police and left the scene. The other motorist sued Issa for $20,000; they eventually settled out of court for an undisclosed amount.[10]

So the natural next question would be to ask just how Darrell Issa, with such a track record for criminal behavior came to be the richest man in Congress?

Drip, Drip Drip.....Like Watergate.

It'll take longer, and more drops--because its going to take a little longer for the Media to remove its lips from Obama's ass....but its coming.

Lois Lerner will sing or go to jail. The Statute of Limitations will not have run by the time Eric Holder is back on the street and a real attorney general is appointed.

Only the threat of long-term prison time will reveal the truth on this. Lerner along with Holder, should be arrested. They're criminals.
All you gotta do is prove it, which you so far can't...

it'd be nice if the op could prove that lerner sought to hide information, as her thread title claims.

Good point.

Personally, I'm still convinced that when Lerner talked about Congress reading their emails and told her colleague, "...so watch what you say."...

....she was urging them to tell Congress everything.

Your not even trying are you?

"On Saturday, July 27, the House Judiciary Committee approved its first article of impeachment charging President Nixon with obstruction of justice. Six of the Committee's 17 Republicans joined all 21 Democrats in voting for the article.

35% = Most?

The Washington Times is not referred to as "the Times" by people who are being honest.
Ever notice that when liberals lose an argument, they try to change the rules and/or add new rules?

Being a leftist extremist in the middle of a country that doesn't want leftist extremism, has never been easy for these people. And it's getting harder every day.

Gee, that's too bad. :D

Watergate produced evidence of crimes. What have all of Darrell Issa's hearing gotten us?

Closer to the years and $40 million blow job than anything else

The evidence uncovered by Issa’s own previous investigation revealed that that the White House was not involved in what happened at the IRS, and the details of what occurred at the IRS are something that House Republicans really don’t want to talk about.

The IRS targeted both liberal and conservative groups, because the Citizens United Supreme Court ruling led to a flood of groups trying to claim tax exempt status. What the IRS scandal has always been about is Republicans trying to intimidate the IRS into letting their shady super PACs violate the law by not paying taxes.

After the attempts to revive Benghazi have gone nowhere, it looks like Rep. Issa is trying to dig up the IRS scandal again

On Wednesday, former Internal Revenue Service official Lois Lerner’s attorney changed his tune on just how lost those two years’ worth of emails actually were. Lerner’s lawyer, William Taylor II, said that Lerner had printed out some emails in order to comply with records-keeping laws. He had previously said that Lerner did not print and file her email communications because she was unaware that she was required to do so.
