I live in this city and I as well as other whites are sick and tired of these hate crimes that aren't really investigated, aren't prosecuted, and not labeled as hate crimes. I'm overjoyed that some of my fellow whites are now out there targetting innocent black people. Fuck the *******, let them get a taste of their own medicine.

Don't hate crimes, in a way, tell people who are victims of other crimes that what they suffered is a lesser evil? If you have had a loved one murdered, but not because of race or sexual preference or whatever else falls under the hate crime label, it wasn't as bad as someone who did?

Hate crime laws, IMO, are just another political ploy to appease the voters. They have nothing to do with justice, I doubt they have any practical effect on preventing the crimes they target, they simply let some legislators say, "Look at me! I care about preventing racism!"

If nothing more, the perpetrators get dragged into a courtroom and made to look like the mental midgets they are, which sends a moral message to others. What about that young gay boy in Texas that was dragged behind a pickup truck, tied to a fencepost and left to die by a bunch of yahoos? Should that have gone unpublicized by not having a public trial? America seems to be breeding a whole new generation of sickos who think torturing and murdering a person just because he is gay is acceptable. Hate crimes are NOT acceptable behavior. It is barbaric behavior.

I grew up in those inner cities. I can tell you you are right about the gang culture. In LA, it's more than culture, it's tradition. It's so gangster in southern california even whites have to form gangs in fucking orange county. If I wanted payback for a bunch of white guys attacking my family, I wouldn't target just any white person. That would be the move of a coward. I would target the very people that attacked my family. By attacking innocent blacks, you're bringing more blacks in the equation to retaliate against you and more innocent whites and the circle of retaliation will grow bigger and bigger. But you just can't teach ignorance...it's inherited.

I agree about the strong black community part, if he has one, they'll probably be on the right side. Having said that, this 50 person gang didn't come from nowhere. This is an indicator of serious problems in the community.

Well, I will watch this prosecutor's actions because if he charges these kids with hate crimes he's got cast iron balls the size of the state. But, as you say, if we are to have hate crime laws, they should, indeed MUST, be used fairly.

There are, unfortunately, gangs in almost every community in the U.S. That particular situation is separate and apart from the racial issue in this case.

So, let's sit back and see what the prosecutor does. I'm rooting for him.
