Yeah it's really amazing what happens when the Federal Government gives away stuff paid for with other peoples money.
I know. Can you imagine how much money we could save if everyone used the emergency room instead at hundreds or thousands of times the cost?

Then there is the GOP plan of "let him die". How come we've never tried that?

Oh,

wait...............
The "let him die" question was framed as a person who could afford insurance but chose not to. But assholes like you try to imply "let him die" is about poor people, even though I have called you personally on this bullshit several times.

So why do you still do it, asshole?
Because if you become sick and can't afford medical care and are refused health care you have two choices, either "let him die" or "the emergency room" which bankrupts tax payers.

How can you not know that? What is it you don't understand? Those are the only two choices left.

Please explain how someone getting something that another group is forced to subsidize for them is a good thing.
We do it all the time.

Your tax deductions, credits, and exemptions are subsidized by other people by way of higher tax rates on everyone.

And, specific to the topic, the biggest government subsidy by far is the employer sponsored health insurance tax exemption.

can't have that shit, employer subsidy ... how fucked up is that ? Right Freefox?

An employer taking what they pay toward health insurance is a business expense.

Many business got out of employer-sponsored insurance and left it to the employee to provide for himself. Others cut the hours an employee worked in a work week and other went to hiring part-time workers to escape Obamacare.

According to CNN Money, you're perpetuating a Republican/rightwing myth No, Obamacare is not reducing employees' hours, CNNMoney (New York) June 25, 2015 - what is it with you guys, making stuff up that is so easily debunked?

NOT A CITIZEN.... 9,511,000 9,936,000
This is from the CENSUS bureau! They asked the people if they were citizens or not and then do they have health coverage.
Nearly 10 million said NO they were NOT citizens and they did not have insurance!
How much more clear can that be???

It's quite clear that those figures were from 2008 and 2009, i.e., based on the 2000 census. Do you have figures for 2010, which might more accurately - though not with 100% verifiability - reflect immigration status today? In any case, can you explain what data from 2008 and 2009 have to do with the PPACA, which was implemented in 2014?

I wonder if Kentucky Governor elect Matt Bevin has heard - "There’s evidence that being insured may even cut down on your risk of death"

Thanks, Obamacare: America's Uninsured Rate Is Now Lowest Ever
Nov 5, 2015

In June 2010, about 16% of Americans were uninsured.

But by June 2015, that number had fallen to 9% — and it’s never been this low before.

The new data comes from the National Health Interview Survey, which the CDC and the Census Bureau have been conducting for more than 50 years. The questions have changed over the years, but the answers were always the same: More than 10% of respondents, and sometimes as many as 18% of Americans, have reported that they’ve been uninsured.

Not anymore. This is the second straight survey to find that America’s uninsured rate is now in the single digits. More than 20 million previously uninsured Americans have gained coverage in the past five years.

And every new survey makes the connection to the Affordable Care Act even more obvious. You can see America’s uninsured rate significantly decline in 2014, when Obamacare’s coverage expansion programs began to kick in.

<snip>
.

32,000,000 still uninsured and those that have insurance are facing $5K deductibles? That's what you are calling "insurance"? LOL!!

And on the other side of the equation; if you have insurance, even insurance with a high deductible your provider(s) knows exactly what they MIGHT be/or put their institution on the hook for, and treat you with high cost/effective treatments that they might otherwise avoid.

Even though we now have the lowest rate of uninsured there are still over 30 million (shame on us)uninsured, included in that about 30 million are 4.5 million children in their growth years, through no fault of their own, without health insurance - did you bring this up because you are pissed about the Republican/bluedog coalition blocking single payer and/or the public option... me too!

Obama sold ACA on the premise there were in his words:
"I don’t have to explain to you that nearly 46 million Americans don’t have health insurance coverage today. In the wealthiest nation on Earth",
46 million of our fellow citizens have no coverage.”
BUT when you look at what constituted this "46 million"... here are the FACTS... not made up numbers as Obama used to lie about and depended on
as Gruber said the "Stupidity of the American Voter"....

1) 10 million Obama counted were not Americans... not citizens per the Census
Proof: Income, Poverty and Health Insurance Coverage in the United States: 2009 - Income & Wealth - Newsroom - U.S. Census Bureau
Now since you asked for more current data:
Although the flow of undocumented immigration to the United States has slowed in recent years, as of March 2010 there were still an estimated 11.2 million undocumented immigrants in the country.. Undocumented Immigrants, Left Out Of Health Reform, Likely To Continue To Grow As Share Of The Uninsured
AND NOT ONE of these 11.2 million illegal immigrants are to have any health insurance especially under Obamacare!
So that knocks at least according to the 2009 census 10 million from the 46 million he lied as calling them "Americans"!

2) 14 million that were Eligible for MEDICAID BEFORE ACA!
Obama failed to get 14 million people eligible for Medicaid enrolled. That's all that is needed. That leaves 22 million.
there was NO NEED for Obamacare to cover these 14 million all they need do is REGISTER!!!
http://coverageforall.org/pdf/BC-BS_Uninsured-America.pdf
But either Obama didn't know this which is gross incompetency OR he did and ignored to get Obamacare passed! HYPED the numbers.

3) Finally why should 18 million people under age 34 that make over $50,000 that DIDN"T WANT their employers coverage be FORCED to buy
something they don't want OR NEED?
Just to pitch to the idiots of America as Gruber said it took the "Stupidity of the American Voter" to pass there were NEVER 46 million that
were legal, or wanted health insurance and all needed to be done for 14 million was get them registered! That's it!
The fact is subtract that 42 million from 46 million and you come up with less then 4 million!

NOW why are you people so intent on accepting THAT bogus number of 46 million when the proof is right in front of your eyes!
There never were 46 million!
BUT when it comes to the reality of the $850 billion spent by doctors on "defensive medicine" because they are afraid of being sued... YOU
won't accept that!
WHY??? Why when the simple tool of taxing 10% of the $270 billion lawyers make to pay the premiums for 4 million people that wanted and need
insurance? How come that was so hard to do ? Because Obama is a lawyer!
If the 10% lawyer tax (by the way are you aware tanning salons are taxed in Obamacare 10% ???) were tied to declining $850 billion in
defensive medicine claims the insurance companies have to lower their premiums under the state laws they sell insurance.
THAT reduction of 20 or 30% or nearly $400 billion a year would dramatically lower health insurance costs and all at a cost of NOTHING!

HOW f...king clear does it have to be to comprehend THAT Obama said 46 million uninsured Americans which 10 million were never legal Americans!
There never were because of the 46 million 10 million are not legal! Can you get that through your head?
Why would Obama count 10 million illegals as "UNINSURED" if they could not be covered as they are not legal citizens!
Again... you missed the entire point. Obama pumped by nearly 90% the number of people that truly wanted and needed health insurance !
Do you understand???
Obama was President in 2009 when he made that statement "46 million".... of which at that time 10 million were counted and the CENSUS admits
that fact they were included BUT they would never be able to under Obamacare get it so why the hell count them?
PUMP up the numbers!!!

You also are ignoring the 14 million that didn't know again failure on the part of the same people that now run ACA that they could get Medicaid!
YET Obama pumped those numbers even though ALL THAT needed to be done was register them!

YOU also ignored Obama falsely included PEOPLE that didn't want health insurance....again to pump the numbers!
INFLATED by nearly 90% the true number of 4 million!
SO now do you understand???

You're answering a question I didn't ask and not answering a question I did ask.

Everyone can be insured and no one could get health care.

Right now, I know far to many who can't afford to go to the doctor even though they have a bronze plan.

Everyone can be insured and no one could get health care.

You mean because they opted for a bronze plan. Chalk that up to lack of experience.

Everyone can be insured and no one could get health care.

Right now, I know far to many who can't afford to go to the doctor even though they have a bronze plan.

The left doesn't care if you can use it as long as on paper it appear you have it. If they cared about the people they claim to care about, they would have paid their premiums out of their own pockets. The government wasn't needed for someone who think another person deserves something to get it. It takes action by that person.

I notice no one has mentioned this part of the article. That many people are getting coverage by buying plans that forces them to pay high out of pocket cost there is a telling rise in the number of patients with high deductible health plans. So if you have a high deductible plan and don't reach it the insurance isn't paying jack and you basically have insurance only on paper.
well, some things are covered by their insurance plan, without having to pay the deductible first....so they still can have their yearly physicals, they can visit the doctor all year for $30 a visit, things like mammograms, colonoscopys, Diabetes maintenance programs, and other tests for certain age groups are also paid for, without having to pay their deductible.... so they really should not have the fear of the deductible, until they are really really sick....and then the high deductible will seem like nothing, compared to the big bill....

Believe me, a person who has to get a subsidy to offset his insurance premiums will feel tremendous pain when he goes in and has to come up with $5K or so before the hospital will even admit him.
Nowhere near as much pain as he felt when he went in and had to come up with $300,000 for his surgery because he had no insurance.

If you bleeding hearts care about people as much as you CLAIM you do, the person wouldn't have to come up with $300,000. You bleeding hearts would pool your personal money and cover it for him and PROVE you care. That's not what you do. You go about seeing how much you can have forced from others to do it then take credit as if you actually did something.

Imagine how much we could save if those who couldn't pay didn't use the emergency room and people like you paid their bills?

If you believe someone who can't afford something should have it, you don't personally purchase it for them, and they die, it's on you son. You think one person is owed something funded by another. Prove it. I don't anyone anything. Therefore, I'm not on the hook for providing it to them. Since you do, you are. Problem is you want others to be forced to provide to those people what YOU think they deserve.

My provided insurance has gone to crap, for 2x last years bi weekly premium, I get a $5k deductible, $1500 into a HSA (I got $1500 in my HSA with only a $2000 deductible last year), and as a bone, they throw me 100% no copay preventative care. If I want a PPO option with a lower deductible Its quadruple what I pay now, and they don't give me the $1500 for the HSA.

FUCK YOU OBAMACARE.

According to CNN Money, you're perpetuating a Republican/rightwing myth No, Obamacare is not reducing employees' hours, CNNMoney (New York) June 25, 2015 - what is it with you guys, making stuff up that is so easily debunked?
.

Well, apparently you're really walking around with your eyes closed. I'm neck-deep in the business world and I personally know many companies that have done just that. Get off CNN and get out and about your own city or town.

Typical LIBERAL blame it on anything but the shit being offered by Obamacare.

Typical well-informed individual correcting the mythology recited by the calculatedly uninformed. If you think that describes liberal vs Conservative65, I won't argue with you.

An intelligent person looks at several options available and chooses the one that best fits the budget and the healthcare needs. I don't know why that's so difficult for you to understand.

According to CNN Money, you're perpetuating a Republican/rightwing myth No, Obamacare is not reducing employees' hours, CNNMoney (New York) June 25, 2015 - what is it with you guys, making stuff up that is so easily debunked?
.

Well, apparently you're really walking around with your eyes closed. I'm neck-deep in the business world and I personally know many companies that have done just that. Get off CNN and get out and about your own city or town.

My guess is you're incapable of debunking CNN's article with anything but a lame attempt at using your unverifiable personal (prove me wrong, I look forward to it) observation, which represents 1 opinion in about 325-330 million Americans. You're entitled to your opinion but don't expect me (or anyone) to give your personal opinion any more weight than about .000000000000033...or something like that.

Like it or not, Obamcare is working for millions of people, a higher percentage of people are insured than ever before - Republican/rightwing whining won't change that fact. Facts is facts, try coming up with facts that carry more weight than your limited observations -pewsh!-
