True....and the point of the PPP was so you didn't have to borrow from a bank....you'd get a loan from the Govt, and a forgivable loan if you keep your employees on payroll.I don't think it defeats the purpose since the money is for those who are in dire need. The idea is for the business owner to put his money back into the businessI don't think Tom the individual did....and he likely didn't get the $1200 check. The small business, which is a different entity then Tom Brady the person, might have....and well sounds like he did.So his small business got a PPP loan, not Tom himself? What's your point? PPP was met for business to keep employees on their payroll and stay in business.Really? Tom got a million dollar check from the US Govt? Can I see the link? Not sure what you are talking about....we have been trying to get a second covid relief package passed for sometime....the left refused over and over again to compromise on their massive spending bill, mitch and the gop were concerned at the massive bill and offered packages that were focused just on covid offering much less..so they were certainly concerned. Why not? No one has cared about the debt for years so why start now?
Under Mitch we passed a bill that gave Tom Brady a million dollars.
Tom Brady's health and wellness company received a $1 million PPP loan.
Good that was the point of the PPP program.....does the dems bill not have the widely popular PPP?
Do you really think Tom needed 1 million from the taxpayers to stay in business?
Now do people on the street need help to simply pay their rent?
I guess by your logic, anyone with money, that has a business shouldn't have taken PPP loans because well, they could have used the personal money to fund the business.
Which seems to defeat the purpose
to keep it whole or borrow from a bank. I had to do that. However, many business owners have been operating on a string today.
I literally, and the poster I was responding to, has zero idea if Tom actually ponied up MORE of his personal money
