Unintended Consequences of Banning Abortion

There is directly correlation between family size and poverty today and a direct relation between poverty and a number of social ills including crime. However, as the availability of birth control and abortion increase, family size among the poor should decrease, which is a good thing for everyone.

If that was the case the poor should have decreased decades ago. The problem is while working families restrict their family size to their income, the poor could care less about income because the taxpayers are funding their large families.

But no conservatives are going to support strict state abortion laws.
Its an obvious violation of religious freedom, privacy, and even medical science, which says a fetus is not a sentient human being.
If Republicans support it, they will be alienating themselves from conservative ideology.
Yeah, Commies don't get to dictate what conservatives and Republicans believe.

But those who are against abortion are violating conservative principles and are supporting intrusive government that infringing upon individual rights for no reason other than religious dogma.
So they are neither liberal nor conservative.
They are just religious fascists trying to impose their dogma on others.
Oh, shaddap, dumbass.

So let's see...you are an employer with a fecund woman in employ, she gets pregnant and asks for money to, in effect, kill the little rascal.

Is it cheaper to give her a couple thousand to do it, or to give her 4-6 months of PAID LEAVE to have the kid, then watch her performance and attendance go to shit for the next 18 years, as her job becomes priority #6, and taking care of the kid and everything else take the first five slots?

Paying a woman to kill her baby is bad enough, but the economics of it are crystal clear.
Where did you come up with this fantasy?

There are a number of unintended consequences of overturning Roe v Wade
  • Requests for vasectomies and tubal ligation have increased significantly in the Abortion Banned states, as much as 900% in some areas.
  • The morning after pill is running in short supply as women in banned states are buying up local supplies
  • The FDA made shipment of abortions pills through the mail legal opening the way for mail order buying.
  • Producers of the abortion pills are increasing inventories preparing for increased demand.
  • 6 states have started funds to help the poor travel to states that offer abortion services
  • Planned Parenthood now has a 300 million dollar fund to assist low income women get abortions
  • Over 30 major corporations including Amazon, Starbucks, and Microsoft have announced they will pay for travel for employees and families to get an abortion.
  • Doctors in the banned states report large numbers of requests for birth control pills, and other types of contraception.
  • Interviews with women in banned states indicate women will begin paying more attentions to contraception and use the day after pill.
It is looking more like the the hundreds of thousands of unwanted babies birthed by women under threat of arrest will be far less than the right anticipated due to more attention to contraception, the day after pill, use of abortion pills, increased sterilization, and travel assistance to abortion clinics from a number of sources.
As always. How much of this new unforeseen commerce will end up enriching blue states more than the instigating states?
There’s already a built in healthcare tourism bump for blue states as restrictions limit availability in red states. It’s also backed by corporate sponsors who pledged to cover the cost of travel for services.
We should thank the red states for consolidating and capitalizing the future growth of blue state GDPs.

the genocide would be from those who didnt wear masks during a pandemic, nor vaccinated.

How so? You could get covid from a vaxed person as well as an un-vaxed person. Genocide is allowing millions of people into this country without being tested, then busing or flying them across this nation coast to coast.

Really? How many states had "trigger" laws to go into effect as soon as Roe v. Wade was overturned?

a vaccinated person was infectious for a shorter time period, about a 3rd of the time, 3 to 4 days instead fo 10 days. But the masks were more critical for source control.
