Thought For The Day by John Jaeger, MBA

Most people don’t really see the world — they see their habits. We walk the same mental paths so often that they become grooves, then ruts, then rails. Rails constrain us, sometimes when we should not be constrained.

Every so often, life gives you a moment — a conversation, a sunrise, a stranger’s kindness — that invites you to step off the familiar track and look around with a creative, courageous idea.

Today, take one moment to notice something you normally overlook. A person. A problem. An opportunity. A blessing.
Awareness is a small hinge that can open large doors for yourself and others.

Brilliant Creation 16 - The Wonder of Common Things

Sand. It is silicon dioxide, the most abundant material in the Earth's crust. It is remarkable for its inertness, high density (support and strength), low cost and utility for construction, cleanliness (compare it to mud) for beaches and playgrounds, universal availability, and relative homogeneity of size. How convenient it is for us.

Incredibly silicon is even a component of the computer I am using to write this. It is the chief component of the glasses you may be wearing, the nearby window, or the container holding your water. - Brilliant Creations - The Wonder of Nature and Life

ADDENDUM: Two parts of a gas, oxygen, chemically combined with one part solid and it forms a compound hard and solid?? Profound Fortuitous Interdependencies abound.
