Thought For The Day by John Jaeger, MBA

“Be strong and courageous.” — Joshua 1:9

“Let us not grow weary in doing good.” — Galatians 6:9

One strength acts. The other persists. Together, they form character.

Every day gives you a chance to practice one or the other —sometimes both. The remarkable thing is that strength grows the same way faith does , by being used.

I have applied for a registered trademark on the following brand, for printing on sweatshirts, tee shirts, swim trunks, leg warmers, water polo caps, water polo balls, and swim trunks. Irvine is the American capital of water polo, and water polo players love the motto I made.

If you want twenty tee shirts, sweatshirts or sweatpants for your grandchildren or children's water polo team, contact me at JohnJaeger@live.com

I have them in two versions of Spanish.

The Dechristianization Campaign of the French Revolution (1793-1794) resulted in the guillotining of Antoine Lavoisier, the Father of Chemistry, along with roughly 16,000 other French citizens and intellectuals. At Lavoisier's trial, the judge declared, "We have no need of scientists."

These atheists called it "The Age of Reason," during which 20,000 to 30,000 were killed, and many more in civil wars. Atheists will try to minimize their brothers' horror by claiming that many were deists. But the priority of the state over the individual is mirrored by today's socialists and Democrats who have long mocked "right-wing religious extremists" from their left-wing atheist dais.

"I say unequivocally that the evidence for the resurrection of Jesus Christ is so overwhelming that it compels acceptance by proof which leaves absolutely no room for doubt!" - Sir Lionel Luckhoo, listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the most successful attorney in history
There is no evidence and if we read Genesis correctly there is no original mentioned and the message go against the true meaning of Genesis and the word of God thats states the sin of one cant be extended to all of humanity. This is the moral teaching of Humanity and the trial for mans freedom. Christianity is based on a distortion that uses the threat of hell to compel obedience.

Worry doesn't help anything or anybody.
Work does.
Consistency does.
Faith does.
I solved Wordle on my third try yesterday. I moved on to 247Wordley and just before hitting SEND, I said, "Thank you Lord."
He laughed. I hit SEND, then I laughed. Got 247Wordley on third try as well.

Solving Wordle with only one green and four gray isn't easy to do, it's lucky.

two threes.webp

A few of the dozens of representative quotes in my files from scholars dissenting from neo-Darwinism:

"My attempts to demonstrate evolution by an experiment carried on for more than 40 years have completely failed. At least I should hardly be accused of having started from any preconceived anti-evolutionary standpoint."—*H. Nilsson, Synthetic Speciation (1953), p. 31.

"We still do not know the mechanics of evolution in spite of the over-confident claims in some quarters, nor are we likely to make further progress in this by the classical methods of paleontology or biology; and we shall certainly not advance matters by jumping up and down shrilling, `Darwin is god and I, So-and-so, am his prophet.'" —*Errol White, Proceedings of the Linnean Society, London, 177:8 (1966).

"The irony is devastating. The main purpose of Darwinism was to drive every last trace of an incredible God from biology. But the theory replaces God with an even more incredible deity—omnipotent chance."—*T. Rosazak, Unfinished Animal (1975), pp. 101-102.
Genesis describes evolution. Man is created in the likeness of god potentially divine. He must evolve to accomplish that. There are two very different Adams. In the beginning primitive with no sense of moral values. At they end after he acquires morals he is an evolved Adam. They didnt have word for it but the writers knew man develops from the primitive to the more advanced. Evolution allows us to survive in an ever changing environment. The process of epigenetics is an aspect of mans ability to adjust to changes.

Im thinking of a concept called toxic empathy being kind in a way that enables a persons dysfunction. Its vital to be right when expressing kindness. Its not either or.
Toxic empathy is very unkind and very wrong.

"A reflection of my feelings about the space program is found in a quotation from Charles A. Lindbergh's "Autobiography of Values." It reads, "Whether outwardly or inwardly, whether in space or time, the farther we penetrate the unknown, the vaster and more marvelous it becomes." - Robert Wise, Director of "Star Trek"

“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” - Albert Einstein

But now the Lord saith, ‘Be it far from
Me; for them that honor Me I will honor,
and they that despise Me shall be lightly
esteemed. (1 Samuel 2:30)

Honor is a deeply virtuous term, unlike terms so often used by
deniers of Nature’s God. Terms atheists use and abuse include intelli
gence, rational, evidence, and proof. Meditate on these things of good
report, as stated in Philippians 4:8, things that are true, noble, just,
pure, and of course honorable.

The psychological and physical benefits of positive thoughts
have been thoroughly documented by modern science1 and are the
subject of countless books. This is one such.
Let your light shine before men in such
a way that they may see your good works
and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
(Matthew 5:16)

And as ye would that men should do to
you, do ye also to them likewise. (Luke 6:31)

Which of water's many beneficial characteristics is the most important to humankind? The transparency of water may well be its single most important quality; we couldn't see without it. However, water is of extreme utility and has many critically essential properties:

  • Colorlessness, permitting dense ocean life, entertainment
  • High density, permitting ships to float
  • Prodigious abundance, making it available to everyone
  • Excellent solvent, Earth's most important one, especially for biological solutions and suspensions; our bodies are 90% water
  • Chemical stability
  • Ease of purification and recycling
  • Expands before freezing, so lakes freeze over, and fish survive winter
  • Unusually high heating/cooling capacity

For Easter Morning, A Reminder That the Universe Testifies – Nothing About Your Life is Accidental

Every day we wake up inside a universe that behaves — faithfully, consistently, astonishingly. Not one law of physics takes a day off. Not one constant drifts. Not one protein assembles itself by luck.

When we look closely, we don’t find randomness. We find relationships. We find constraints. We find precision that stacks upon precision until the only honest word left is wonder.

Mathematics doesn’t merely describe nature — it fits nature, as if both were authored by the same Mind. And the deeper we look, the more the numbers whisper the same message:
This is not an accident.

So today, pause and let that truth steady you. Your life is not random. Your prayers are not unheard. Your journey is not unobserved.
The God who tuned the constants of the cosmos is more than able to guide the constants of your day.

By wisdom the Lord laid the earth’s foundations, by understanding He set the heavens in place. — Proverbs 3:19 (NIV)

Three years straight at this thread. Nice job on the dedication to it. Have a great day and here's to 3 more years.

Your last post on the lack of randomness in life I am not sure I agree. Even if there was a design to the universe, lets hope so, it seems designed with randomness as a core component. I mean... UConn is in the championship tomorrow. : )

Courage is not the absence of fear; it is the decision that something else matters more.
Scripture never promises a life free of storms. It promises something better: strength in the storm, clarity in the chaos, and purpose in the pressure.

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid… for the Lord your God goes with you.” — Deuteronomy 31:6

Courage is not a feeling. It’s a choice — often made quietly, without applause, in the privacy of your own heart.
Every time you choose integrity over convenience, truth over comfort, or compassion over indifference, you are practicing courage.
And the remarkable thing is this: courage compounds. Every small act strengthens the next.
So today, take one step — just one — toward the thing you know is right. You’ll feel the shift immediately.
