If you are at all interested in militaria, you might find the following interesting. All of these items should have "providence", which is a verifiable path of posession or ownership, in order to determine their authenticiy. It's interesting seeing an explanation of the tunic, as well as the path it takes after being confiscated by an American First Sergeant.

Included are a picture of Hitler's first apartment in Munich (top floor, far right), the hotel where the SS was formed in Munich in 1920, and a great beer hall/brewery, one street over from Hitler's apartment. The beer was so good there.

It always amazes me, that the Anglo-Saxon world is so fascinated by this NAZI stuff.

Very cool. My dad was in WWII. For years, he had some pretty awesome relics/keepsakes that he brought back from Germany. He had a German sword, some German medals, and German military, wool coat. I'm not sure which of my siblings got these items in their possession but had I had the chance, I would have claimed at least some of the items for myself. We all got to take turns picking the items my dad left behind but I was in another State and had to go by memory as to what he had in his possession and I forgot all about those items.

Anyway, the sword he had looked very similar to this:

It wasn't super long and it had a slight curve to the blade. That's what I would have picked had I remembered ... dang it!!

There is a small museum near where I live, many of the bringbacks from WWII vets are scattered throughout this fairly small, two story building turned into a museum, just full of German and Japanese items, including weapons, uniforms, flags, banners, sidearms, daggers, just an incredible collection that is so large you can hardly walk around all of it. It is overflowing into areas where you walk. The old building all this is stored in is too small for this size collection.

Meh, doesn't interest me personally. I would like to know though, did he commit suicide or did the British murder him?

There is ample dispute on both sides of the argument. We will never know, but someone knows (knew) for certain.

I love that kinda stuff. Germans had such style.
