ChristisKing gave me an idea to make this thread in a tribute to Huey Lewis after she made a thread dedicated to Billy Joel. They are my two favorite music artists so when i saw that Billy Joel thread i figured it was imperative i made this thread.

Has anybody else seen this two hour concert of his before he became famous?

Man i wish i had been there. The songs from these first two albums are his BEST stuff.if you have not seen it i strongly urge you to watch it and you can go ahead and post your favorite songs on here as well.

With Billy Joel it would be a dream to meet him and sit down and talk with him sometime. Not so with Huey Lewis, I have no desire to ever meet him,he is a real asshole.

I did not know about him till his 3rd albumn sports came out and thats when he became famous. so I saw him in comcert when that albumn was released and he so much pissed me off,he only played ONE freaking song from his first albumn and thats his BEST stuff.

you just became famous, people did not know your other songs from your first two albumns ,your BEST stuff, there is NO EXCUSE for why he did not play those songs you hear in that video he sang back then,NONE whatsoever, that is INEXCUSABLE.

that was my WORST concert experience ever.none of the others even came close.I talked to other friends of mine who also went to that concert and THEY were pissed as well at that asshole. there is NO reason he could not have played all those songs along with his new hits he had out that year.

IF THIS IS IT
HEART AND SOUL
HEART OF ROCK AND ROLL
I WANT A NEW DRUG
BAD IS BAD
WALKING ON A THIN LINE AND
POWER OF LOVE of course.

that is ONLY 7 more freaking songs he had to add on in addition to those two songs from his first two albumns.NO EXCUSE AT ALL. what a freaking asshole,he diesnt give freaking crap about his fans,he only wants to play what HE wants to play, freaking arsehole.

No, but....I was one of only two kids in the Class of '90 in my school who liked him and thought he was cool. And interestingly we were both 1st generation kids of German immigrants.

One thing many people might not know about Huey is that he played harmonica doing blues gigs, in SPAIN of all places, for a couple of years before he made it big in the States.

Jets as i was saying bet you wish you were here when this happened?

i watch this video ALL the time

Power of Love is one of my favorite songs! 😎
yeah if i HAD to pick my favorite upbeat song,i would pick that one as well followed closely by who cares? one of his early songs he is not well known for, it is highly underrated but one of his very best, its in the first video.

the thing i love about this live performance video is you get to hear a guitar solo at the end that you dont if you just by the cassetee or listen to it on the radio so its kinda special to me in that way.:)

that base player in that video performance was a funny dude,he never sang,he just always stood there in the backgorund with his sunglasses smoking his sigs being joe cool.,he was funny as hell. :abgg2q.jpg:

the synthisizer "however thats spelled." is my favorite part in that song, just makes the song.

hey Blaster hope you make it over to this other thread of mine sense you feel the exact same way,you can be one of the first to chip in your thoughts.LOL
