Democrats: What If the Next Attempt Succeeds?

I did address it. If Trump had security that was competent you wouldnt need to consider another attempt. And all political assaults and murders have been of democrats.

No, that's not answering the OP. What do you think would happen--for the nation and your party--if your next shooter succeeds?

After people are crying with joy, you think most Americans are going to rail on about his SECURITY?

Are you this stupid?

You don't seem to be

Still not addressing the OP.

We know: dodge, gaslight, whataboutism. Remember that?
Sure, he did.

He just didn't say what you wanted to hear.

If a crazy person shoots Trump, that's because we live in a country where crazy people can get guns.

We won't change that because some crazy person tried to shoot Trump, any more than all the other presidents who have been shot at by crazy people, or even after four were killed by crazy people.

We love our guns more than we love our children, much less our presidents.

/---/ I was 12 when JFK was murdered.

I understand that most of this board skews older. I'm eligible for AARP (don't get their mag or subscribe though) and I'm one of the "younger" ones here. Many Americans though, if not most, do not remember JFK Jr assassination. I wasn't born until 1969

I think the fact that half the country already thinks this attempt was staged, I doubt a successful assassination will move the needle.

Do you really think the 49% who currently vote Democratic are going to say, "Gee, we feel bad this man who wrecked the economy and put our politics into the gutter is dead, so we're going to vote for his ass-kissing Vice-President".

Then you would know that JFK's assassination was traumatic because he was a well-liked figure.

Unlike Trump, who is hated.

JFK's average approval rating during his term was 70%. His highest point was 83%. He was struggling about the time he was killed, but his approval rating was 56%.

Trump's approval rating is only 34%. Unlike JFK, who was an aspirational figure, Trump is pretty thoroughly disliked at this point, even among some of his own followers who feel betrayed that he hasn't delivered on most of his promises.

/----/ People in my town lined up next to the appliance stores, watching the news on the display TVs. Others gathered around parked cars listening to the radios; others had transistor radios playing, listening to the news updates. Cars pulled into the church parking lot next to my school, and people poured into church.
I didn't believe it when I first heard. I was in school at the time. The nun knew but wouldn't tell us why other classrooms were praying outloud. She was not a very nice person.
It wasn't until I got home and my mother told me it was true.

/----/ It's convenient how you ignore the positive polling of Trump with Blacks and Hispanics, and he polls 100% with MAGA. (Now pretend you didn't see them posted on USMB.)

Back in 1963, they didn't have fake polls, Gomer. Broadcast news was reliable. If Walter Cronkite or Huntley and Brinkley said it, we knew it was true.

My mom looked harrowed by it every time it came up. Both parents talked about it like 9/11: "Where were you?"

The Dems have no idea the disaster they're courting. A disaster for the nation and for them. They're too stupid to think ahead apparently.

He polls 100% with the made up constituency he created? Really?

right, all the polls are fake except the ones that say what you like.

Oh, I agree, Republicans will be thrilled when Trump dies, not just for the reasons you think, Islamophobic Twit.
