"A short time ago, the United States military began major combat operations in Iran. Our objective is to defend the American people by eliminating imminent threats from the Iranian regime."What was Trump's lie that has you so upset. Quote the man.
Perhaps you're right. Perhaps Trump simply should have said that the Mullahs were killing their own people. That was Obama's justification for bombing the shit out of Libya."A short time ago, the United States military began major combat operations in Iran. “If we didn’t hit within two weeks, they would’ve had a nuclear weapon."
IOW, the narrative is shifting as often as it did when the regime was trying to rationalize starting the war. It's not the only thing that's shifting.
Shoulda-Coulda-Woulda......It was the reason the UNSC passed several resolutions before finally authorizing member states to use force. The Arab league requested the no fly zone to protect citizens.Perhaps you're right. Perhaps Trump simply should have said that the Mullahs were killing their own people. That was Obama's justification for bombing the shit out of Libya.
Interesting you believe the UN trumps US law.Shoulda-Coulda-Woulda......It was the reason the UNSC passed several resolutions before finally authorizing member states to use force. The Arab league requested the no fly zone to protect citizens.
UN Members states are simply not compelled to act on UNSC resolutions. Interesting you don't know that.Interesting you believe the UN trumps US law.
Just looking for some consistency in your cult's arguments. They held Obama to a completely different standard than they are holding Trump. The only explanation is TDS
Your argument dude, not mine.UN Members states are simply not compelled to act on UNSC resolutions. Interesting you don't know that.
Yup The vast majority of your party agreed that Obama could bomb the crap out of Libya without Congressional approval, let alone a declaration of war.70 Democrats joined Republicans in the 295-123 vote rejecting the AUMF in Libya. That didn't stop Obama and a similar vote today likely wouldn't stop "The Don"!
Your argument that I think UNSC resolutions trumps US law was demolished by reality. You're argument dude, not mine.
32% of Democrats didn't agree.your party agreed that Obama could bomb the crap out of Libya
"It was the reason the UNSC passed several resolutions before finally authorizing member states to use force."Your argument that I think UNSC resolutions trumps US law was demolished by reality.
70% agreed. Now 100% Disagree. What's changed? TDS32% of Democrats didn't agree.
How does the UNSC authorizing the use of force somewhere in the world trump US Law? Is there a court ruling somewhere that you base that statement on?"It was the reason the UNSC passed several resolutions before finally authorizing member states to use force."
70% agreed. Now 100% Disagree. What's changed? TDS
Big thing is both Syria and Libya aren't really near strategic choke points... Syria might be in relation to a possible Gas Pipe from Qatar to Europe, but that's it really...This isn't even a relevant question and has no bearing whatsoever on what Trump has done. It isn't even a decent attempt at deflection.
Trump thinks war is "fun" and he doesn't give a rat's ass if Americans die. He likes having the power of life and death over people. That's REAL power.
Trump started this war to get Epstein off the front page.
Dude. You're the one that brought up the UN Resolution as authority for Obama's bombing. Back then 70% our party agreed. Today, 100% of your party (less Fetterman) demand that Congress has to declare war or the military action is illegal. How does the UNSC authorizing the use of force somewhere in the world trump US Law? Is there a court ruling somewhere that you base that statement on?
It's being opposed because it's an attempt by trump to corrupt elections.
The authority to use US force lies with the President not the UN. The UNSC resolution 1973 was one of the reasons he choose to join forces with several allies to stop the masecre.Dude. You're the one that brought up the UN Resolution as authority for Obama's bombing. Back then 70% our party agreed. Today, 100% of your party (less Fetterman) demand that Congress has to declare war or the military action is illegal.

Dude - Last time - you (and Obama) brought up the US Resolution as authority to bomb the shit out of Libya. Back then 70% your party agreed. Today, 100% of your party (less Fetterman) demand that Congress has to declare war or the military action is illegal. The authority to use US force lies with the President not the UN. And Obama blew through that 60 day mark and kept bombing the crap out Libya for a another 6 months. And your party said - no problem. The law forces Congress to give the President at least 60 days.
Strange.....I remember Obama's drone campaign in Syria and Yemen that went on for quite some time.Quit trying to equate what Trump has done to ANYTHING that Obama did. In fact, when Obama wanted to go into Syria and drew his "red line in the sand", he asked for Congressional authority for this action, and when Congress refused to vote for it, Obama backed down. Then Republicans mocked Obama for not enforcing his "red line in the sand".
Every time you pull this "but Obama" bullshit, we can prove Obama obeyed the laws, both national and international. The US action in Libya started on March 19, 2011 and ended on March 31st, when NATO took over the operation. Two weeks.
Trump has started a war with no exit plan, based on a "feeling in his bones". Next time his arthritis flares up, someone should give him an Aleve.
