What a strange, strange dance they're doing.

A couple of those Presidents even tried to pay off the theocracy running Iran who simply used that money for funding of more proxy wars and terrorist attacks.
The trade-off with the JCPOA being the avoidance of a worst case scenario...........Iran getting a nuclear weapon. Then trump blew the whole thing up.

Oil Prices Jump as U.S. and Iran Exchange Fire

Oil prices, after falling last week, climbed on Monday as investors weighed a renewed exchange of military strikes between the United States and Iran against indications that both sides remain engaged in negotiations aimed at securing a lasting peace agreement.

Stocks were mixed, pulled higher in East Asia by the continued surge in interest in artificial intelligence, and lower in Europe.

The United States said it carried out a series of “self-defense” strikes in Iran over the weekend, the latest in a series of attacks in the past week. Iran’s Revolutionary Guard announced that it had struck a U.S. air base in retaliation for a U.S. attack on a communications facility.

It makes me think of a couple of adolescent brothers kicking each other in the back seat of a car during a long drive after telling mom and dad they'd stop fighting.

From a domestic political standpoint I can't see how trump can agree to the terms Iran is asking for. Especially after R's spent years hammering away at the Iranian assets returned to them by the US in exchange for forgoing a program to develop a nuclear bomb. Sending much (97%) of their partially enriched uranium out of the country.

Trump Seeks to Abolish Iran’s Atomic Stockpile, a Problem He Helped Create

Today, international inspectors say, Iran has a total of 11 tons of uranium, at various enrichment levels. With further purification, that is enough to build up to 100 nuclear weapons — more than the estimated size of Israel’s arsenal.

Virtually all of that cache accumulated in the years after Mr. Trump abandoned the Obama-era deal. That is because Tehran lived up to its pledge to ship to Russia 12.5 tons of its overall stockpile, about 97 percent. Iran’s weapon designers were left with too little nuclear fuel to build a single bomb.

The US has superior military might. Iran has control of the Strait, and consequently controls a vital lifeline to the world's economy. Concessions must be made by both sides for a negotiated agreement to work yet each keeps sticking a finger in the eye of the other. All the time the world's reserve supply of oil is dwindling. Which is Iran's hole card. How could Don, Pete, Tulsi, Marco, et al been so shortsighted as to get in to this intractable predicament?
Iran didn't start enriching uranium to weapons grade until AFTER Trump left office the first time, and Xiden ended the policy of maximum pressure.

There was no Obama-era deal....none....Iran signed nothing

What a insane position....yes, let's fund terrorist, and they promise to not try and get a nuke....you people are insane

Iran stops negotiations with U.S., vows to ‘completely’ block Strait of Hormuz: State media

The stable genius does it again.
Iranian negotiators will stop exchanging messages with the U.S. through intermediaries, and Tehran will move to fully close the Strait of Hormuz, in retaliation for ongoing ceasefire violations, Iran’s state-affiliated news outlet Tasnim said Monday.

The report, in a translated post on the social media site Telegram, homes in on Israel’s military operations in Lebanon against the Iran-backed militia Hezbollah.

“No dialogue will take place” until Israel fully withdraws from occupied areas in Lebanon and stops all attacks in both Lebanon and Gaza, per Tasnim.

“Also, the resistance front and Iran have resolved to completely block the Strait of Hormuz and activate other fronts including the Bab al-Mandeb Strait, in order to punish the Zionists and their supporters,” the report said.

We are getting closer to an oil shortage crisis. Great job, Dontard.

Well, it's all a nice reminder of why former American Presidents didn't try something this goddamn stupid.

Of course, they were intelligent people with a grasp of world history & geopolitics, and experienced advisors.

The ironic thing here is that Iran now knows it doesn't even NEED nukes to throw the world into a financial tizzy.

Why did we go to korea, vietnam, Iraq? Why are we currently negotiating with irans lunatic 12ers, who think they can summon there mahdi by burning down the world. Why are we allowing data centers when the US is in an exceptional drought never recorded in human history? Why do people pick their boogers?

Your link does not say that....in fact it says U.S. would release $20 billion in frozen Iranian funds

If Iran, is going to start not being the leading state sponsor of terror and stop being a rogue nation, why wouldn't they have access to their own funds?

Sure, because that's going to happen...

Iran Hands Over Stockpile of Enriched Uranium to Russia

A Russian ship left Iran on Monday carrying almost all of Iran’s stockpile of low-enriched uranium, fulfilling a major step in the nuclear deal struck last summer and, for the first time in nearly a decade, apparently leaving Iran with too little fuel to manufacture a nuclear weapon.

Ah yes, those were the Halcyon days orchestrated by China, France, Germany, Russia, the UK, the US, Iran, and the EU........all achieved without threats of wiping out a civilization.
If true, it can be shipped by unnoticed.

President Donald Trump officially informed Congress that the war in Iran is "terminated," arguing that an ongoing ceasefire successfully paused hostilities and reset a 60-day legal clock under the 1973 War Powers Resolution. However, this declaration largely serves to bypass Congressional authorization, as the actual conflict remains unresolved.

What an unfortunate time to have the orange buffoon in a position to take down the global economy. Like Shrub did during the financial crisis.

Um, we're one of the warmongers...
Make up your minds. We are either isolationists or globalists. There is still time from what we are told. If we do lose the House and Senate, it is on the President if the conflict is the reason. And is the Senate voting in any Judges? They may. It is just quiet there.

Bibi gave more to Hamas than Iran

You knocked Obama for releasing funds. What gives?

15th post
You’re lying. Obama released frozen Iranian funds.
Maybe some, but I took issue with the cash, the funds that were the Imperial State of Iran's....a country that no longer exist...funds they were paying for jets.

Why is Trump considering releasing funds? I don’t see a regime change.
