Why would people in their cushy seats back in Washington DC tell CIA operatives to not get involved in a gun battle to save State Department personnel....
Well, they probably wanted to keep it "quiet" that they were actually CIA agents. Libya's leaders, muslims around the muslim world and some in the world community might look unfavorably at Obamination if they felt betrayed by CIA agents sneaking around Libya under the false reasons for being in Libya.
The CIA doesn't advertise their agents when they step foot in another country, they are going to show up as someone else and Obamination's people probably freaked out when their cover would be blown in the attack.
Liberals calling the shots in DC felt pretending CIA agents weren't in Libya was more important than saving the lives of Americans under attack, especially the freakin Ambassador. The ragtag leaders of Libya might be pissed off that Joe Schmoe wasn't a USAID representative but really a CIA agent and Obamination didn't want that or his people didn't want that to happen.
