You’re confusing civil law and substantive due process concerning privacy rights with that of criminal law and procedural due process.

The right to privacy safeguards the protected liberty of a woman to decide whether to have a child nor not, free from unwarranted interference from the state – a decision the woman makes of her own accord, effecting only the woman.

The man committed a crime because he acted without the woman’s consent – a criminal act that was committed against the woman as an individual, where neither the state nor another person has the right to compel a woman to give birth against her will, or end a woman’s pregnancy against her will.

Your thread premise fails as a consequence of your ignorance and stupidity, as in fact liberals do apply the law equally and apply their beliefs consistently – because unlike most on the right, liberals understand the law.

Yes, it must – and liberals in fact apply the law equally and consistently, unlike most on the right.

Indeed, just this week we saw the law applied equally and consistently when the Supreme Court invalidated an un-Constitutional Texas measure whose provisions manifested as an undue burden to the right to privacy.

Needless to say most on the right incorrectly denounced the ruling as a ‘violation’ of the ‘will of the people’ – when in fact nothing could be further from the truth.

But it does illustrate the hypocrisy and inconsistency exhibited by a majority of conservatives.

If it’s the ‘will of the people’ that a woman’s right to privacy be violated, or that the right of same-sex couples to marry be denied, then it should likewise be the ‘will of the people’ to ban AR 15s, and it would be ‘wrong’ for the courts to invalidate state laws which do just that.

Rightists can’t cheer when the courts strike down a firearm regulatory measure that violates the Second Amendment while at the same time deride a decision invalidating a state law ‘banning’ abortion that violates the 14th Amendment.

In order for conservatives to apply the law and their beliefs consistently, they should either support the ‘will of the people’ to prohibit possession of certain firearms, or oppose the ‘will of the people’ when they seek to deny a woman her right to privacy.

Conservatives can’t have it both ways.

Yes they would, if they were carrying the baby. But in the natural process of birth, the baby is part of the woman's body--not the mans. That's not to say it's not his, but he can't attack the body of another person because of his desires.

Now if you want to say that a man who doesn't wish to have a child not be held financially liable, I think that's a better argument to make.
